Delicious coffee. A nice way to end a water front walk in the mornings. We stayed at the caravan park close by and this was our regular coffee stop while we visited town. And bonus because the Rusty Pelican is right next door!

I really dislike giving a bad review, however I'm tried of food establishments serving up dishes that shouldn't be served up. Maybe the cook was having a bad day. Had the bacon and eggs scrambled (extra charge) with toast and the only good thing about...the dish was the toast. Bacon was so crispy that it was almost burnt. The scrambled eggs were over cooked and tasted sour. My partner had almost finished his order before mine was delivered. He had the eggs benedict which was average. 10 out of 10 for the fresh orange juice. Great location if you look past the junk and untidy areas.More
Lovely little spot to grab a bite, had breaky one morning and couldn't eat the whole eggs benny burger....it was huge. We went back for lunch another day and had a filo pastry and carrot cake, delicious. Be aware there are some days the kitchen...closes at 12 but they will still heat or toast items from the cabinet which has a huge choice. Would definitely visit again and totally recommend.More
Experienced the coffee only, as someone who has worked with a variety of coffee roaster, grinders, baristas, and owners over the years there are a number of things I look out for. 1. Speed of Coffee out of the Portafilter - The coffee coming from...the portafilter was almost on point. Not gushing out like I see some places. A nice gentle stream of velvety goodness. 2. The length of pull - This does vary from machine to machine, and brew to brew. But the main characteristic that changes is the colour and viscosity of the coffee coming forth. For a medium coffee, this was on point. For a small, you were somewhere near a ristretto. For a large, over extracted and watery. A common misconception is longer pulls gives you more volume or more shots…. This is not the case. 3. Cleanliness and Run off - It was nice to see the barista clean the portafilter, the steam wand, the jug, and the contact point for the portafilter. Bravo! All in all, the Medium coffee was outstanding. Velvety, smooth, and a rich taste with little to no butter notes. The large was, as previously stated, over extracted and carried many bitter notes and was left feeling wanting. The small, was for a ristretto not bad, but a flat white missed all the caramel and chocolate notes of its medium brother. All in all, the coffee was good, but with some minor adjustments could be amazing. Still worth a stop for your morning fix, or if you are in the area, but my recommendation is stick with the medium.More
Staff are beautiful friendly coffee delicious and egg and bacon roll But unfortunately the eggs Benny I just couldn’t eat it, the first serve was delivered with hard boiled eggs when I finally got my breakfast hubby had finished and my Benny was awful swimming...in sauce toast was soggy very disappointing won’t be backMore
Its just fabulous to have great food in such a tiny spot. All 4 of our group had tasty, delicious meals, from avo on toast to burgers. We couldn’t resist taking home a vanilla slice - also delicious and creamy
Great place to get a snack or coffee before going on the LARC tours, friendly staff and good service.
Had a delicious bacon and egg wrap before doing the LARC paradise tour. Was very yummy and asked for hard egg was cooked perfectly. The lunch wraps made from here on the tour were also delicious and filling. Staff were very friendly.
Award winning Vanilla slices great coffee and pot of tea . A Yummy place to eat at. Service with a smile and very friendly staff
Around 10 years ago we stayed in 1770 and one lasting memory was that the Marina Cafe served the best iced coffee we’d ever had, so we went there today hoping to repeat the experience. What a disappointment! Instead of a rich drink with a...strong coffee flavour we were served an insipid drink filled with ice tubes (ice is a definite no-no in an iced coffee in my book) for which we were charged $10 a serve. We will NOT be recommending this place to anyone in the futureMore
Visited 1770 and we had breakfast at this Cafe. The business appeared to be understaffed. While the coffee and fresh juice was nice, the food left a lot to desire. Ok for what you pay.
Decided to give this Cafe a try after reading some good reviews. Very disappointed. I’m happy to pay whatever the price is as long as the food is good. This was not the case here. The only decent thing was the coffee. Maybe because they...do use a good quality milk. Apart from that food not really edible. I would not return here only maybe to grab a coffee.More
The location was great and appeared to be well patronised. We ordered coffee and breakfast and when it all arrived the smashed avo on toast was some avo squashed onto some white sourdough not toasted And then the other meal arrived which should have been...scrambled eggs and bacon and when it came it was a full breakfast which was greasy and had mushrooms and baked beans that the person who ordered was not able to eat We were told that is what was ordered but it wasn’t Would not go back to this cafe There are other cafes that serve better quality food at lower cost Whilst seated there were other customers that received the wrong orders the staff were obviously under pressure and were getting meals confusedMore
We had a beautiful big brekky and the scrambled eggs were great. Lovely girl who served us. They were quite busy but we still got our meal and coffees within a short wait. Would highly recommend eating here.
Awesome service and meals friendly staff. Great food highly recommend. The pancakes are made from scratch and are amazing, add to that the sweet fresh strawberries and blueberries and your in for a treat. Other food places should take a leaf there book.
