Passing through Brisbane we popped in for a dinner. Small , cosy, authentic regional cuisine. I haven’t tasted the “sea” in a pasta dish since being in Sardinia 25 years ago … the food here ticked all the right boxes. Belissimo 🙌🏽🙏🏻

A very intimate and enjoyable experiance. The servers had great knowledge (espeically there being six specials on that night!). There were some changes to the menu that the chef discussed with us beforehand and told us the positives and the negatives in a friendly manner....The food was absolutely out of this world, it blew us away and we can't stop raving about it to our friends and family. They've earned a customer for life.More
This little hidden treasure is undoubtedly presents the best Italian food, service and attention to detail I have ever encountered in any restaurant. Congratulations to Chris and Staff, the awards says it all. Best regards Edi Bolzicco - Perth, Western Australia. Oh I nearly forgot...you must order the Tiramisu (to die for)More
Amazing!!!!! Best Italian in the country. The place and the establishment owners have so much character. This is my favorite restaurant. I should have written this review a long time ago, but I don't like sharing. I'm in regularly with my partner having the tasting...menu for 2 with wine to match. Since the wine is just as amazing as the food. Everything down to the last detail is authentic. You can thank me later!More
The staff was very attentive and the food was truly amazing. You felt very welcome as soon as you arrived to the time you left.
Second Italian restaurant I try on the peninsula after moving, glad it didn't take long to find authentic food. Ambience is rustic, music, I think, modern Italian, which is ok given the young age of the owners. Service was spot on, friendly but attentive. It's...on the expensive side, but everything is home made, so you pay for the time they spend in the kitchen. We'll be back after trying the other Italian restaurants on the peninsula.More
Took my son here because it has always been a great place to eat. Unfortunately that was then but not now. The music was so loud we could hardly hear each other, and we were at a small table. I ordered the Tagliatelle al Ragù...as a main. Very disappointing. The meal was bland and the size was comparable to that of an entree. I submitted this review in December 2022 but I notice that it was listed on your website. I hope this one is posted.More
We were lucky enough to have dinner out on Friday night with a friend of ours who we have known for 30 Years. We chose to drive out to Redcliffe to dine at La Lanterna. Our friend just love Italian food. What a night, it...could not have been better. Our food was excellent. The staff acknowleged us as soon as we arrived and we could not have had better service. It was relaxed and nothig seemed at all a trouble. We cannot recomend this restaurant enough, if you want traditional and authentic Italian food, served with enthusiasm and love, this is the place to go. By the way they have a excellent Italian wine list as well. Thank you team, we will be back soon.More
Did a takeaway as they were full. Tried the ravioli for the day - it was rich in porcini mushroom flavor with lots of sausage meat. Good meal coupled with very friendly service. Will try to dine in one day.
First time with the wife last Sunday. Beautiful decor, atmosphere is sensational and very friendly staff. Wife ordered gnocchi and said were the best she's ever had, I had the duck ragù with curly pasta and it was very good. We had a bottle of...Montepulciano and Panna Cotta for dessert. Meals were earthy and definitely homemade. It's not fine dining so don't expect fancy recipes on fancy plates. It's just good ol' Italian food. We'll be back next week.More
Our table of 5 all agreed that the food wasn’t that impressive. The service wasn’t very friendly as well. We won’t be going back there in a hurry
We have been frequent dinners at La Lanterna for many years. We often meet our friends there for dinner and a catch up. We also have had our work Christmas dinner there for the past two years and simply love their hospitality. It's a little...piece of Italy with perfect food, wines and a wonderful atmosphere. Thank you for always exceeding our expectations and we look forward to seeing you again soon.More
Sorry, don’t understand the good reviews. This Italian food was pedestrian at best. The gnocchi was no different to the supermarket stuff, I imagine regardless of the sauce. The bruschetta was underwhelming in flavour and was rushed. The menu reflects the speed with which a...dish can be churned out and slapped onto your table. When this happens in Italy the food is still authentic and with big flavour – not so here. It all tastes like little care has been taken. Oh, and it’s overpriced for the standard of food you receive. Like I said, I don’t get the reviews. 2 stars because it unfairly overcharges naïve diners.More
Hi, thank you for your review. Are you sure you dined at our restaurant? We haven't got any bruschetta in our menu, never had it since we first opened in 2017. Thanks
This gorgeous little restaurant took us back to 2019 when we were holidaying in northern Italy. The wonderful food and the gracious hosts made it a wonderful Sunday lunch. Alexandro recommended the five course special and it was that…..SPECIAL.He made changes for suit one of...our diners which made everyone’s meal a delight. The Linguine Vongole (clams) was stunning and the antipasto sublime. We enjoyed the whole experience.More
I dined here tonight with my beautiful friend and we had the most wonderful evening in this cosy romantic restaurant. Alex the owner is gorgeous and suggested a wonderful wine to go with our degustation dinner. Wish this restaurant was closer to where I live...as I would go there all the time. Don't hesitate, just book.More
