Now known as the "Monto Coffee Lounge" New name, new owners

We first stopped for a quick coffee in the afternoon and then decided to come back after looking at the menu. The crab claw meat was fresh and a very generous serve on the sandwich. The hamburger was well cooked and simply delicious. I'm not sure how long they have been there but the new owners are very friendly people and are working hard to make a go of this cafe. Well worth a stop. PS I've suggested edits to TA with their updated name, hours and website. Phone and address are unchanged

Best pies ever

We stopped in today (1 Aug 2023) and OMG the home made pies are to die for. These are absolutely the best pies in Queensland or even Australia. We bought one for takeaway and ate it at the park. It was so good we went back and bought 4 more as well as a chocolate muffin so that I could have them for lunch when I'm back at work. My husband and I are going to plan a special trip back from Rockhampton to get a whole swag of them! The shop is well set up and staff are very welcoming. Keep up the good work!

A long wait !

Passing through ,thought a coffee and scones would be nice for morning tea. After a half hour wait coffee and scones were served.Long black was served in a mug not an cup as asked.Nice break but shouldnt have to wait half an hour when not overly busy.

Well Below Acceptable!

We have had breakfast here before on a previous visit and it was good but unfortunately this time it was well below acceptable. My wife had the bacon and eggs and I had the sausages and eggs. All eggs were solid not runny as asked, the bacon was under cooked, we left the majority of the meals and would have complained if we had the time. We left there and almost immediately both of us had upset stomachs, mine not coming right for the remainder of the day.

Great place to eat

This is a truly wonderful little cafe with yummy food and drinks. The staff are always cheery and helpful. Has the best melting moments biscuits ever.

Lovely Cafe

Whenever we are travelling though Monto this is our coffee stop. The staff are so helpful and friendly and the coffee is great. They have some gluten free options which is appreciated. Hubby says he can recommend their burgers.

Big yummy meals

Called in with family for lunch wow the meals were huge and very tasty. Thick shakes were made from icecream and delicious.

I did order a steak sandwich soon after arriving and booking into the Monto Caravan and cabin park and it was one of the steak sangers I've had in a while and was up there with others I have bought at other places in the past. So rapt I was with that that next morning I went there and ordered breakfast, That too was a rip snorter and well worth visiting there when I next pass through.

This cafe is in a great location on a corner so you get a bit of a view of life in Monto. Pleasant atmosphere and nick nacks to look at. Staff very friendly and the food was delicious and fresh. Would highly recommend the cafe to visitors and locals.

Monto Cafe try there best to make you fell at home and welcome you with great food with a change of manager once again I can see great things from the cafe from here on. Worth it 🙌🏼
