Excellent food and service. However the lighting lets it down, my husband and I found it way too dark. We struggled to read the menu. I ordered a chicken on the bone dish the sauce was amazing however there were small bones which I could not see. I was frightened that I would choke on one. So had to leave the meal. Please Mehfil switch on the lights or at least put better lighting on the tables, or light half the restaurant.

It has been four years since we have been here due to disasters and Covid. It continues its excellent standards in food quality, presentation, staff, and excellence all round The food came exactly as ordered - particularly the level of spicieness. Well done

Staff were super friendly and accomodating. The look, feel and ambience of the restaurant was on par with dulled lighting setting a relaxed scene. The FOOD!. Way better than other culinary competitors by a long shot and equally supported in seeing a constantly "out the door" line up for takeaways and such. I have been to a number of indian restaurants around brisbane and ipswich and this one takes the cake! I totally recommend

From the moment we went in to claim our booking, it was not a pleasant experience. We were ignored after being seated- no one came to take a drink order or a food order until summoned after 15 minutes, then they went off to get table water before taking our order. We waited 40 minutes after that for entrée and over an hour for mains which might have been nice if they weren't cold. Waiter did not know which dish was which and gave vegetarian meal to wrong person even though we told him who had ordered what. We were not offered another drink and again had to summon someone, both times we had to ask where our drinks were. People at one table who arrived us were served before us and another table who arrived at least half an hour after us got their food at about the same time as us. We noticed a steady stream of take away or delivery services which seemed to take priority. They did apologise and give us 10% off the bill but there are a few other Indian restaurants in town which I would go to before coming back here.

We at Indian Mehfil take great pride in serving our customers the best meal every time with the most efficient traditional-style service. In this endeavor, we take utmost care that the quality, taste, texture, and flavors of food are maintained with strict quality checks installed and get our staff trained by the best in the business.
However, on this occasion, we failed. Please accept our heartfelt apology for your bad experience with our team. I will ensure that your feedback gets noticed and we will try to provide better training to our young staff members to achieve better results in the future. We are hopeful that you will excuse us for this chain of errors as we are in the process of building a new team since we have lost some of our trained reliable members of our team during these COVID-19 Lockdowns. We will look forward to seeing you back at mehfil again and try our best to earn your trust back.

The food was absolutely disgusting. I ordered the Butter Chicken Curry and it was bland, full of bones and tasteless. They have lunch specials however the waiter discourages you from ordering them and prefers if you order from the full menu. For $32.00 for one dish with a spoonful of rice and 2 drinks is a joke. The food was also cold and it was spilt all over the table when served. I don’t know how this establishment has so good reviews, they must be paid reviews for sure. The staff do not serve with a smile either. Will definitely not be returning here again.

North Indian styled cuisine for the Australian palate - a good tasty version of what we expect and enjoy here. The portions are generous, the service excellent, and the dining room area’s high ceilings and tasteful decor and furnishings make it a lovely dinner spot. There’s outside tables on the adjacent mall area too.

We needed to travel to Ipswich for an appointment and needed to find a place for lunch. We wandered up the main street and we love Indian food so the sign caught our eye. The building was beautiful as was the ambience. We had the most delicious lunch special which was great value for money. The waitress who served us was efficient and friendly. They have another restaurant near us that we've never tried so we will try soon. We highly recommend a visit to this beautiful restaurant.

My boyfriend recently tried Indian Mehfil for dinner. Their heritage building has a lovely warming atmosphere, and the prices are reasonable. We each had different meals and we shared a mixed entrée platter. We couldn't fault any of it. My Butter Chicken was delicious, and my boyfriend really enjoyed the Bhuna Gosht.
I would highly recommend trying this place for yourself. You won't be disappointed!

Good food, friendly staff. Quaint restaurant in old Heritage building tastefully decorated with Indian theme inside. Had Lamb Korma will try with chicken next time, great flavour.

Decided to try this restaurant late arvo, booked online, confirmation actioned quickly. Lovely atmosphere and decor. Food was amazing, service great and not too expensive. New to Ipswich area, will definitely be back.

Lovely Indian food. Wonderful flavours, well presented, fantastic quality meal. The dining room has an opulent at atmosphere but casual dining is fine. Service is friendly and helpful. There is an extensive choice of beer, wines and spirits to choose from. The Lamb Rogan Josh was superb.

Indian Mehfil was one of the best India we have found we we have been to - uses the whole palette of flavors—spicy, sour, sweet, and hot all at the same time piquant -making it something that wants to jump off the plate.
Fresh tasty - no hard edges - cooked to perfection ....
Plain nan best ever [ not dripping in gee or butter ] - perfect
Lovely staff - reasonably priced .

Food was served in a timely manner and atmosphere was quiet and pleasant, although lighting could have been a bit brighter so we could see the food in more detail. Service was excellent and food was sumptious.

What a shambles .., ordered online with this place using deliveroo… the estimated delivery time kept getting pushed back .. after over an hours wait we called to see what was happening only to be told they didn’t know about order …., NEVER using them or Deliveroo again !

Thank you for taking the time and writing the review and we are sorry to learn about your experience. At Indian mehfil Ipswich, we use different delivery partners including uber eats, doordash, menulog, and deliveroo, these delivery partners controle delivery drivers and delivery time according to the availability of their drivers, Hence. we cannot do much as far drivers are concerned.
You placed an order using deliveroo on SATURDAY the 8th, your order was ready to be collected by the driver after 30mins, but, unfortunately, drivers keep canceling the job and your order got delayed. when you called in we tried to find out what platform you used to place the order and if there is any order number handy to investigate it further. During that conversation over the phone, you repeatedly mentioned 'menulog" and you provided us with an order number that we couldn't find in our menu log orders list. Deliveroo is new to the area and they probably don't have many drivers available in this region which has caused this issue multiple times.
