We have stopped many times here on motorcycle rides up to the Darling Downs. The food is always delicious (you should see the size of the vanilla slice!) and the coffee satisfying. Cold water is on hand and the rooms are air-conditioned, which is welcome on a hot day. Lots of home made delicacies and local produce. Well worth visiting when in Esk. Highly recommended.

The Nash Gallery and Cafe is housed in a beautiful old Queenslander, and set in lovely grounds. You can eat inside in one of the small rooms full of artworks and other items, out on the verandah or in the garden by the fountain or under a tree. The menu is extensive with a large variety of options for all dietary requirements. Servings are very generous - if you're thinking ploughman's, go 'petite'! The coffee is excellent too. After your meal, take the time to pop out the back and visit the garden. Lots of quirky things here and places to sit and reflect. You may even be lucky enough to get a visit from Vinnie, the cattle dog, who works in visitor liaison!

The food is delicious and fresh. The serving size is generous and they have a large menu selection. The cafe is presented well with lots of arts and crafts inside to buy if you wish. There are three seating areas, inside, verandah and gardens. We have been here quite a few times and have always been impressed with the food.

My wife and I had breakfast here yesterday. The building is beautiful. The ambience is lovely. The coffee is genuinely first-class (think best inner-city cafe standard). The staff are sunny and capable. And best of all, the soft-poached eggs were perfect, which is a very rare thing and speaks of great skill and care. Highly recommended.

Love this place because I know you can always get a good meal. We found a cool spot on the verandah and even though there was a downpour, the waitress was straight out to put down the blind to protect us. I had quiche and salad which was delicious. I asked for no chips and extra salad, and that is what I got. Had a fruit salad smoothie as well (with no ice-cream or honey) and it was sweet and lovely. I have been to this cafe quite a few times now, and you can always depend on good food and lovely staff. There's lots of little nick nacks to look at too, which makes it a bit interesting.

Walked passed a couple of places before noticing Sandee's Cafe. Decided to go in, well you need to try this place we has Ham cheese and tomato. It was the best ever and presentation was As good as I have seen. The bread was made fresh ham of the bone and cheese melted just right. Chips on the side and a few lettuce leaves. Really nice meal accompanied by a lovely cup of coffee. Lovely staff and when u go don't forget the home made sweets. Lovely girl told us that there were birds out the back so we went to have a look. I am so clad we did. Birds drinking from glasses and nearly touching us. Trust me you need to check this place out and read the history of Esk. Thank you to the lovely staff that really care about customers. Going back Monday morning for brekie

What a "gem" cafe to be found in the Brisbane Valley! Well worth a lunch or coffee stop, whilst doing the BV Rail Trail. Our party of 4 had a reserved table on the verandah of this Federation Queenslander building...such a nice atmosphere and vibe from this boutique, organic cafe where everything is homemade on the premises. Inside the building you will also find local homewares and other bric a brac. We ate the coconut prawns and calamari x 2, the haloumi stack and I had the BLT. Everything was so well presented and delicious...the coffee was also an extra bonus! We would have loved to sample some of the cabinet desserts, however there is only so much you can eat before another 25kms on the trail. Service was also great. We'll be back.

Had heard good reports about this venue from various buddies who have cycled the nearby rail trail, so decided to make it our lunchtime stop on a long drive home. So glad we did as this is a classic country cafe serving up a varied range of quality savoury and sweet dishes. There is a range of seating options from the dog friendly front yard, up to wrap around verandah, through to a choice of cosy parlours inside that also feature an extensive range of giftwares. Very friendly service and my ploughmans platter was truly delicious, featuring three cheeses, juicy ham, a selection of homemade pickles and toasted bread. A great pit stop!

This cafe never fails to please, the good is fresh and delicious and the coffee is great. Service is fast . We are fussy and everything we have ordered from sandwiches to salads to sweet treats has that home made fresh quality. We stop here regularly on our way through from the coast to toowoomba. An oasis in the midst of country suffering from drought conditions.

Delicious food, Everything tasted like prize-winning home-cooked foods at the local show. Loved it! Cool old school country vibe. Very relaxed. Air conditioned or sit on the verandah. Lovely friendly and efficient staff from the young girl out the front to the ladies cooking out the back. Well worth the stop!

Tried this old Queenslander style restaurant when visiting the local market and not disappointed. Good customer patronage is usually a good sign and there was several groups of bike riders outside. Nice sunny day so a lawn table was good. Plenty of home made options in the cake / slice display and we tried a coffee and a vanilla slice . Elixir coffee is a good blend and it was well made as was the slice with the pastry being lovely.

My mother and I sneaked into town to visit this gallery and cafe, on a cold and wet Saturday afternoon. We enjoyed the perfect cup of tea and the most delicious homemade vanilla slice either of us has ever eaten! We loved looking around all the room and reading the information on the walls. Having done a drive around Esk earlier in the day, we could identify some of the buildings being discussed. Esk and the Brisbane Valley are well worth a visit, and if you are visiting, pop in to the Nash Gallery for delicious food and a history lesson!

Delicious food, great service, in a beautiful venue at this Esk cafe. We saw their sign outside of town and were delighted with our find. The food was brought to our table quickly and the sandwiches were fresh with generous fillings on the house baked bread. If you are in Esk, we would highly recommend this cafe.

Wonderful staff, tasty food which is beautifully presented. They cater for all dietary needs. Free parking is available in front of the cafe. Toilet facilities and indoor/outdoor seating. The building is a converted house with so much character, lovely gardens. We loved this place so much that we visited twice in a week & also bought items to take away.
