I attended a family gathering here and were immediately impressed by the decor and service. The excellent service continued throughout the night and the food was decadent, beautifully presented and delicious. Highly recommended

7 of us enjoyed a most beautiful dining experience last Wednesday evening. Most had different meals, but all concluded that the total dining experience was second to none!
This restaurant never changes, the food is excellent & the staff are always friendly & courteous. We go here with friends for special occasions or just dinner/lunch.
We were beyond impressed by not only the service and friendliness the moment we walked in the door, to the atmosphere of the piano music, to the romantic outdoor seating, and of course the outstanding dishes (special mention to the seafood supreme, scallops and pork...belly entree). We will definitely be coming back and recommending to our friends and family!More
Went there for lunch with a friend today The welcome was friendly and welcoming Sat outside and the setting was beautiful The attention from both people looking after us was exceptional Ordered the pork starter to share, it was gorgeous For our mains we ordered...the seafood supreme and the beef medallion cooked medium rare and it was all cooked to perfection Overall a superb meal We Will certainly be back Will be recommending this restaurant to anyone looking for a meal to remember at a reasonable price for such qualityMore
Review – The Courthouse Obviously one important measure of a good restaurant is the quality of the food. Another is that it understands that the location of the table can make or break the dining experience. Also important is whether you are made to feel...a bit special rather than just a number. A good restaurant also takes legitimate criticism (as distinct from just whingeing that some people do) on board and does something about it. The Courthouse in Cleveland is one of those. The last time we ate there our table was located near a wedding party, and it spoilt the evening. So, we stopped going. Recently we put ourselves on the email list again and their new menu was so enticing we decided to try again. To her credit Mary asked why we stopped and obviously took our comments on board. We had lunch today. It was, in a word, superb! The service was quick, personal, and above reproach. It is an excellent menu, and the food was hot and delicious combined with an ambience second to none. My wife and I have eaten in some wonderful restaurants in many parts of the world and had, until Covid, been regular cruisers. Covid put an end to cruising for us and we will content ourselves by dining locally. As we sat at our lovely table at lunch today, enjoying the new menu and silver service with a view the equal of any we have seen, we could have been anywhere in the world. The Courthouse is now back at the top of our list with fine dining second to none. Robert and Christine Webb OrmistonMore
I booked online at the last minute no problems. Staff were friendly, food was absolutely delicious as usual. We shared an Entree and had a main meal each. A couple of glasses of Red wine and the bill was $110 we thought that was very...reasonable. It’s an absolute must if you want great quality food and beautiful ambiance.More
We had a group of 15 and oh my !! .. the service was absolutely supreme .. and don't even talk about the wonderful food selection The table setting was perfect - thank you for going the extra mile, to make it a 5-star setting
We were staying at “Sanctuary” Sirromet Winery, and this restaurant is a short 20-min drive away. Excellent service, and intimate ambience (pianist was playing for the duration of our sitting). Also the option for outside dining with direct waterfront view. Meals are of a generous...size for the high quality. Diners can choose from 2-course or 3-course menu options. Brandy snap desert with raspberry sorbet was a treat!! Well worth a visit!More
Thank you to all the staff who made our family Christmas get together a wonderful memorable experience. The staff and service was exceptional. The food was amazing and the ambiance and entertainment was perfect. Do your self a favour and get a bunch of family...and or friends to experience this Christmas party, you will have the time of your life. This is the 3rd time I have been here to celebrate Christmas and will be back again next year. Thank you again to all at the courthouse for giving us awesome memories, thank you :-)More
The atmosphere is is up and down depending where you sit, we were put outside under a light that was dropping bugs all over the table, we had to ask staff to get the light turned off. The staff were the blessing, very prompt and...pleasant and always on top of everything including the simple task of filling the water glasses. The food was average, nice menu but starters were cold, mains ended up coming out the same and underwhelming, just like heated pub food.More
You have to pay $70 per person for an entree and a main or main and dessert. Say a big price for a main is $40 that means your entree is $30 !!!!! We had scallops and pork belly entrees. Scallops were very small and...totally tasteless. Pork belly was bland . Mains were steak and lamb shank. Lamb shank was very good but the steak gets smaller every time we have it and again was bland. Maybe they need to put salt and pepper on the tables. We won’t be going back and nor will our friends and family.More
We ate here a few months ago. Having lived on the bayside for many years The Courthouse has been an institution in its own right. Our last visit left us wondering why we bothered going out. From the entree to dessert we were through the...meal in an hour. It felt like we were part of a military operation. The food was as good as it has ever been over all the years but if our experience is what the restaurant is now all about don’t expect to enjoy a relaxed dining experienceMore
We dined with some friends and really enjoyed our experience The building has so much character The food was very very good. We had a banquet for $80 with entree, main and dessert and we all enjoyed our food, it was of great quality produce...The staff were great and the place was busyMore
Intimate celebration for two for a 60th birthday and very much disappointed after a visit 12 months ago that was very very good. One entree (scallops) was a big fail. Supposed to be 'fresh scallops on the shell' - they were rubbery, overcooked balls with...no roe on the scallop. Very much doubt they arrived fresh on the shell for the establishment. Never again on that one (The other entree of chicken was good) Mains - both had rack of lamb with a side of fries with truffle oil and parmesan (neither of each could be tasted). THe protein/s were great, very good. The accompanying carrots were going on cold. The potatoes had obviously been sitting in a bain marie too long, not enjoyable. Bread rolls - we found it strange that we had bread and butter plates and they were taken away after the entree. Last time there bread was offered. Main meal come and went. Just before desserts a young lad came to offer us a roll, huh..? I don't know what happened there but poor form. Would have enjoyed them with our mains to mop up the tasty juices and sauce from our lamb. Desserts - they were good, though the listed 'cheesecake and chocolate mousse' came with a slight smear of mousse, a teaspoon at most, probably less. Partner was very disappointed with that. Very underwhelming sadly, we were hoping this would be our go to restaurant for special occasions but at the prices charged, we're not going to take that risk another time round. Will go elsewhere.More
