We were on a coach tour to Katherine Gorge and this was our evening meal stop on the way back to Darwin. We pre-ordered our meal during the day and when we arrived, staff were ready to serve us. Meals were delivered to the tables quickly and the food was hot and delicious. I fancied a chocolate after our meal and although the restaurant did not stock them, the staff member went out to the caravan park shop to get one. Great service and very friendly.

I think I’ll call it now, Best Caravan Park I’ve stayed in in my 32 years of holidaying.
Not a huge park, but so well designed and put together, angled shaded sites, grocery store, fuel, pool, bar and restaurant, I wish I could have stayed more than one day. The use of tin, metal and wood along with old rusty wheels and such around was awesome, and the bar is worth a visit on its own. Even for the half keg sinks and cisterns with pull chain in the ablutions.
Along with the $9 pints, I had the best barramundi ever - grilled with pesto, salad and the most amazing mashed potato! No words were spoken over dinner, everyone was very satisfied!
Customer service all round was exceptional.
Could not fault a thing, even fantastic coffee on the way out!

We had both morning coffee and lunch here: it is adjacent to and part of the Lazy Lizard Caravan Park providing a bar, restaurant, shop and CP reception.
The coffee was excellent, lunch was good and the venue has a nice feel to it. Look out for the python display cases.

We stopped in here for a late lunch on our way to Katherine. Have been here many times before: as tour guides we've both brought through countless passengers, once the market starts up again that won't be happening if this is how an average customer is treated.
Today we tried ordering a pizza. It was dead quiet: less than 10 other people and no one else was eating. After waiting for almost 40 minutes we asked how long it would be, only to find out it had never been started! Had she forgotten? Nope, just said that she was too busy.
If she took the tops off 20 beers in that time I'd be amazed, and even so we were never told anything about a long wait. We wanted something quick and easy - after this we took our refund and left.
The bartenders name was Shae on the docket (22-10 3-4pm) and was maybe the most hopelessly useless service I've ever witnessed. Shame a beautiful pub and potentially great spot was represented so badly.

I was so looking forward to this place because of all the favourable recommendations I found on the internet.
I was bitterly disappointed with the rude service provided by the young Irish woman as well as their T-bone steak which was thin, cooked well-done, when I requested medium-rare. Please don’t believe what you read on the internet, just go to the pub if you want a good meal; or to Masy’s Cafe for breakfast or lunch and a coffee

Mind blown… we decided to goto the restaurant after pulling in later in the day. We ordered at 6:30ish and admit we were famished by 7:15 when it came out but by god, the kids meals (Hawaiian pizza & kids steak) were absolutely fantastic, and I wished I was a kid, till my Schnitzel came out, OMFG it was delicious and moist and the crumb was amazing. Wifey had the Parma and that was equally as good! The meal sizes were rather big. Probably the best pub meals ever!!!
Prices were run of the mill for pub grub.
Staff were friendly and the venue is rustic. Highly recommended coming here for a meal.

We were doing the trip back from Katherine to Darwin in the dark, absolutely starving. We'd set off for Edith Falls around lunch time and spent hours trekking and swimming, working up quite the appetite, and assumed more places would be open on the way back from Katherine. We arrived in Pine Creek and drove slowly around the town. Given its the Wet, most hotels and road houses were closed, and we were kicking ourselves that we probably wouldn't get a feed for another few hours. And then - just as we were ready to turn back onto the highway - we caught the fairy lights of the outdoor area, and we were off like a shot!
We got a BBQ pizza and a bowl of wedges, as well as a pint each. Delicious and salty, perfect for after a big exercise. The atmosphere was lively and the staff were very friendly. I loved the music they played too. We were so grateful for the feed and will remember the place fondly from this trip.

Lazy Lizard Tavern, Pine Creek, a visit to which was an absolute highlight!
On my six-week trip from Broome to Darwin I got to know a few roadhouses. The "Lazy Lizard Tavern" is my number one choice in terms of originality.
The shop offers a wide range of groceries, household and camping items. In a large refrigerator wall you will find a large selection of fresh products. A takeaway fulfills your last wishes after the long drive through the wilderness. You will receive a friendly welcome at the campsite reception, which is also located in the shop.
The campsite with shady pitches, the original toilet facilities and the small pool for cooling off are clean and well maintained. There is even a mailbox for sending the last greetings from the bush.
In the tavern, which is decorated in a western look, exquisite, inexpensive dishes are offered in keeping with this theme. In the evenings, western-style entertainment is occasionally offered.
I can highly recommend visiting this wilderness oasis in Pine Creek on the way to Kakadu NP.

Stopped here for lunch on the drive between Jabiru and Katherine. Great place to stop and relax. Plenty of shade, good food and atmosphere. The bats hanging from the trees in the car park were a bit noisy but cute.

Lazy lizard is a great campground but sadly we were surrounded by people drinking and playing loud music late into the night and there was no one to call or on site to manage the issues. Very disappointed with our stay especially with kids still awake late into the night. Not a family friendly venue

We stopped in here during a road trip. The young man behind the bar gave us great service. Food was delicious and the “decor” was definitely iconic, lots of photo opportunities. Happy to recommend

We came to stay here by chance due to a break down on the way to our original destination, we arrived at almost 10pm when they where closing up for the night.
Booking us in to a caravan site and helping us out was no problem.
As it was so late the pub/dining was finished so didn't get to experience that.
The amenities block was outstanding, we have travelled vastly throughout Australian and these bathrooms are awesome and so clean. We where in a group of 6 adults and we all felt the same.
The caravan park itself is nice, decent size etc. We will definitely stay here again

Travelling around NT we booked and stayed at the Lazy Lizard and what a treat it was. Perhaps the "basic room" was too basic, but hey we were only there for one night. Check out the other options.
Such a typical out back stopover not to be missed.
The meals are big and yum.

Beautiful outback pub very interesting place to visit 😀 with great food available. Friendly Staff also. A great place to bring the Family to. Car museum is interesting to check also. It's attached to the pub so very convenient.

Stopped here for a travel break, great little spot, very charismatic. Novel bar. A few pythons, named and in glass enclosures which was interesting. Didn’t get to see too much else in that local area as it is a couple of hours from Darwin. Definitely worth a visit.
