Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Had the Buffet on Monday for Labour Day, fantastic, best i've had in a long time. The plate was piled high, it beat me.

Trish gave us a room when we arrived late and allowed us to eat from the bistro (it was Sunday night, so only Bistro offered), where heaps of people had already booked in, and served a delicious home cooked roast. She went out of her...way to see we were cared for. I absolutely recommend this place as a real find in the outback. Trish and staff offer a warm welcome.More

This restaurant is first class. Hadn’t visited Borroloola before, liked the town and the surrounding areas, but thought this restaurant was outstanding, freshly caught barramundi with lime and coriander for me , pork belly for my husband. Thanks guys a great experience

Enjoyable, well priced meals ranging from fresh Barramundi, Oysters, Salmon or a Steak. Good drink options and a nice setting, sitting in the garden was particularly relaxing. Service was very good, definitely worth a visit.

When out Bush, this place is a gem. Very good meals, multiple options, reasonable pricing and good service. Good to enjoy an alcoholic drink as well.

Great little place. Totally unexpected. Brilliant food, huge portions and a really cute little garden to eat in. The 5 starts go to the staff (owners?) though. They were super busy and 2 of them holding the fort. Great work gents.

This place appears to be closed, no lights no nothing, signs still out the front, web site indicates they still take bookings but the “book now” link diverts to the Savannah Way Motel. Disappointing but don’t know what to do or where togo

We visited for a light lunch and was not disappointed. We ordered BLT sandwiches. Serving was generous which was accompanied by chips for a very reasonable price. It is nothing fancy as a restaurant but ideal for the climate and region. We were so impressed...we returned for dinner that night and again the meals were excellent. Staff were helpful and cheerful. A very enjoyable evening.More

Far exceeded our expectations. Good food, friendly effective service, good value for money, wide variety of choices, great deserts, well worth a visit.

Seriously? In the Barramundi Capitol of the world this is the best you can do? I was over the battered variety and thought where else to sample some local caught grilled Barra.....I couldn't have been more wrong. Overlooked and cold! Not a hint of love,seasoning,butter...or any clues it had been anywhere near a grill in its life. So disappointing. Also the vegetables that came with it were old...the tops had been trimmed off the brocolli and the corn had been swimming as long as the Barra. I get it, this is the outback, but if your gonna charge city prices you should really provide some city quality. If you can't serve nice Veges don't serve Veges at all. Saving grace? You can get a beer here, served in a grubby stubby cooler. Sadly this place has no competition so is not likely to improve unless someone with half a clue on how to cook turns up in town. Give this place the swerve and self cater at the campgroundMore

You are many many klms from any major town but don't let the typical rustic country setting cloud your judgement about the meals prepared here. The food is exceptional and the generous serving sizes would pacify most hearty appetites. My wife and I opted for...the $20 Friday Night special of Beer Battered Thread Fin Salmon, garden salad and chips. The meal was absolutely scrumptious and the garden salad quality would put a lot of establishments much closer to market gardens to shame.More

If you are hungry for some good food and great service head on down to the Carpentaria Grill!! I highly recommend the Pizza or my personal favorite the Meat Lovers Chicken parmigiana!! The biggest Chicken Snitzle you have ever seen with the most mouth watering...Meat Lovers Topping with BBQ sauce! Last time I was there I also tried the Crumbed Lamb Cutlets with Mash and Vegies, which was AMAZING!! Next time you are in Borroloola or passing through make sure you stop in and give it a try! You will not be disappointed!More
