I've always seen their sign when I pass by Sunset and was always interested to know about this place. I'm always weary in trying a place I haven't been until someone tells me they've been there. Finally gave them a try and I am so glad I did! Met up with my husband for lunch and the food was very... More

I enjoy this restaurant Sooooooooo much. I'm a person who loves vegetables and I just love the way they cook them. I eat here quite often when my budget allows me. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant the food is just awesome.

I visited Tokyo Express after hearing how my co-workers raved about the lunches they ordered last week. I had to give it a try and I was surprised. The food was fresh, hot and flavorful. Just be sure to check your order before you leave to make sure you have the right items. I had ordered some sushi, but it... More

If you love Japanese but don't need the full blown cooking show Tokyo is the place for you. The express in the title fits. They also offer a selection of sushi. Try it you'll like it.

This is a Japanese style fast food place. You can choose several different dishes and add or take off items you want or don't want. They cook it for you and you see it being made without all the extra cost of the larger places.

Tokyo Express offers Japanese steak house food at a better price and much quicker since they prepare without the show. The food is fresh and hot without the wait. They have meals and a la Carte choices. The yum-yum is the best in town.

I'm from Rocky Mount NC. I've been to several hibachi restaurants including one in Greenville, Wilson and Goldsboro, North Carolina. Tokyo express is hands down the best to me. I've never had cold or spoiled food. It has always been prepared fresh and hot & it tastes the best. Nothing else more to say except if you're looking for hibachi... More

We have eaten meals from Tokyo Express several times recently and find them generally to be of average taste and quality. The steak has been chewier than at other comparable places and the egg rolls tend to lack flavor. The chicken dishes have been OK. At times the vegetables, cooked properly, have been the best part of the meal.

So make no mistake, this is not a high-end hibachi with chefs who cook in-front of you. But it is a pretty-good, fast meal. We moved to Greenville, NC from Amarillo in August 2013. Our 4 year old loves science centers, so, we got a membership at the Rocky Mount Children's Museum. We drive down, play for 2-3 hours at... More

Ate here last night. Restaurant was very clean and staff was friendly and helpful. I had the chicken teriyaki and California Roll. The chicken was good and the vegetables were fresh and tasty. It was a little over $11 for those two dishes plus a drink. The California Roll was very good. One of the better fast food experiences you... More
