Stopped here for lunch. Immediately put off by the dirty tables, dark atmosphere inside, and smell coming from the sewer around the side entrance. Yeah, that bad. We decided to eat outside facing Glenwood. Service was warm and prompt, food was ok. For us it was just so hard to go beyond the initial impression.

You know all those places that try to get a bunch of old stuff and throw it up and try to make it look kitschy, but it just looks junky? This place isn't like that. It has so much organic character and such a great vibe. The jalapeño skinny Margarita is delicious. Plan to hang out a bit.

I used to live around the corner from the old location. We used to eat there 2-3 times a month! We haven't been since moving out of Raleigh 4 years ago. Arrived in town on a visit and drove to the previous location...and realized they moved. The new spot has similar decor that makes this place so unique. The steak... More

We met there with group of friends. Everyone was happy with their meals. It is very authentic and colorful place. The service was very friendly. We liked the fact that they are taking reservations. Fun place for a happy hour as well. The outdoor seating is comfortable and cozy.

This place is (or was) cool. Felt like you had walked into Tijuana or something. Folks were friendly and food good. Alas though, they seem to have moved to Glenwood.. haven't tried that location yet.

I've loved this place for years! I don't like the set up in the new place as well as the old bldg but at least you don't have to wait for a restroom! The soup (corn/ mayo) was delicious as always. They changed the recipe for the chilaquiles a couple of years ago and I'm still wishing for the old... More

I went here with a local who frequents this restaurant. We ordered a pitcher of margaritas which were quite good. I tried something new - a house specialty called Mis Garnachas. It was really good - sweet potato/corn cakes with a potato/chorizo hash on top, followed by greens and queso fresco. I was impressed. Also at the table were fajitas... More

The decor brought me right back to Mexico; colorful, fun, something to look at in every corner, nook, and cranny. The model train brings bags of tortilla chips from one end of the boots to the other; what a hoot! They had a good deal on buckets of Coronas the night we were there. The food was ok, but nothing... This restaurant recently moved just a couple of miles away. The old restaurant was like a wonderland. Carlos, the proprietor, made it that way. The new restaurant is getting there too. The food and the staff are amazing.
