This place was established in 1977, that alone should make you want to visit. A lunch restaurant does not survive almost 70 years without a great reason. Reasons include; a wide variety of sandwich choices, all of which were very good to excellent. Homemade soups of many kinds, privately owned, and not a chain. The line is long at noon,... More

The place is welcoming and bright. There is a nice mural on the end wall. The staff are nice, though inexperienced, but the problem is in the sandwiches. Mine was not good, the meat was of low grade quality. No zesty flavoring to it and had some really bad onion. My daughter's Cuban, had a distinct cuman taste to it and... More

Drove out of our way while in Raleigh because of TA reviews and found the sandwiches boring and tasteless. I had a chicken breast sandwich that had boiled chicken with no seasoning at all. My husband and I could not take more than a bite each of the boring potato salad. His pastrami was just ok. Even the diet Coke... More

Was making sales calls nearby and saw the excellent reviews on Trip advisor. Has been in business a long time. Quite a large menu so had a bit of trouble deciding. Decided to go with the Boondini special. A very large and very good Italian sub. Served cold or hot....land you decide on lettuce, tomato, etc. excellent. Stuffed with very... More

We hit this place at noon on a Saturday - very busy. The menu is a little complicated - but we all navigated it. My party got 2 soup & sandwiches (big bowls of soup), and a steak'n'onion sub. The pros: the food tasted fresh... the vibe in the restaurant was really good... we liked the Peter Max-like painting on... More

I try to visit at least once a month. Tried the "Whole Boondini's Special" on white subroll with mayo. The shredded lettuce and REAL meats made this a perfect submarine sandwich. Got a sweet tea and used like three refills on it. A great lunch at a reasonable price. The brownie is too big for me, but perfect for two... More

Long time favorite sandwich shop, Billy Williams is the owner and runs a great business. All the sands are excellent, personal favorite is the home made pimento cheese on toasted rye ! It is rich and creamy (a half portion with chips is probably enough unless famished) and don't miss the home made orange-aide its just the right match with... More

My first visit to Boondini's was great. I ordered a toasted BLT on sourdough bread and it was delicious! The amount of bacon on this sandwich was sinful, but good! Just a good all-around place for sandwiches. They have a large selection and I plan to go back soon to try something new!

Ate lunch here and the sandwiches are really good. Had the turkey sandwich. However most places offer more sides and for the price here you have to pay extra for chips which should be included. Really good selection of breads including sunflower bread which I selected. Overall a really good sandwich place been in business a long time.

"Billy" has been serving the same eclectic sandwiches and food for at least the whole twenty years that I have worked nearby at the Forum complex. I love the "Boondini's special" which comes with free iced tea. the interesting National Geographic maps on the walls are friends to solitary lunch time guests, but most people seem to come here WITH...
