I ate dinner here on a regular basis for several months. The cooks behind the counter are friendly, polite, and always get my order right. The cashiers vary--some are friendly and welcoming; others not so much. You order at the counter, and then pick up your meal when it's ready. Sometimes the cashier will clear your table, sometimes not--yet, there's... More

I was in Raleigh for a business conference, and we decided to go to the Daily Planet for lunch. The first day I had the special which was a chicken cordon bleu wrap. Very tasty, the garlic herb tortilla nicely complemented the flavors of the chicken and ham and cheese inside. The next day I had the Carolina Cuban sandwich... More

We had our doze of caffeine from this cafe after walking in the NC museum of natural science. We had mocha frappe and it is so much better than Starbucks mocha frap! The price is also at par with Starbucks. Planet Cafe's frappe is so much better because it is creamier. Good doze of caffeine after a walk in the... More

It was cold and rainy the day we visited the science museum so decided to eat inside the museum rather than walk to another location. I was pleasantly surprised by the choices and quality of food. I had a veggie burger which was huge and very good. I would recommend if visiting in the area for a quick and tasty... More

The frappe and latte took a little too long to prepare, but the twisted cookie was awesome! $10 for those 3, not too expensive.

We had lunch at the Daily Planet Cafe while vising the NC Museum of Natural Sciences. It's located in the same building as the Research Center, making it convenient while in downtown Raleigh. The food was tasty, and we received an ample amount. The menu is quite diverse and reasonably priced. I'm not sure if the restaurant offered outside sitting,... More

This is a great place for a quick lunch when visiting one of the nearby museums or the NC Legislature. The food is good and surprisingly creative for a counter service lunch spot. The sandwich and salad offerings are generous and seem healthy. There are many tables for eat in ability but they do a brisk take out business as... More

I was totally impressed by the variety of options as well as the great prices. Normally museum cafe food is outrageously expensive, but not here! I opted for a wrap and drink out of the cooler instead of waiting for a hot sandwich as it was quite busy that day and I was hungry, but looking at other people's orders... More

Food was very good and reasonably priced. I ordered a burger and was able to get fresh fruit as a side rather than fries. My husband had the fried fish and really liked it.
