Rundown is one of our favorite restaurants in the OBX. We had the Mahi special and it was cooked perfectly. The staff is always friendly and the drinks are always cold.

This restaurant is a family favorite which we return to over and over again. My husband loves their "Big Wave Dave" which is a wonderful chicken sandwich with a slice of pineapple on it. Their salads are large and very tasty. This is a casual restaurant so wear your flip flops and shorts. They have a great rooftop deck where... More
Food is consistently good. Must try the Run Down soup, fish tacos and noodle bowls. The view from upstairs is GREAT, you can sit in or outside on rooftop deck.
The food here was off the charts good. The hummus was spiced to perfection. There was a ginger slaw side that was absolutely wonderful. Great prices and amazing staff. My only complaint was that they were closed one of the days we were in town so we couldnt eat here every day!
A few days vacation in the outer banks is now complete without eating at Rundown. They always have great burgers and this time the chowder was marvelous with a little bit of bacon seasoning. Be careful to check the opening time as they change according to the season. For a great ocean view while eating head upstairs
Highly recommend Rundown Cafe! Food was fantastic, spices were perfect. Portion sizes were very generous. Can't wait to visit in the summer and eat on the Hula Deck. Good for families, couples, etc. Large parties should be able to be accommodated by pulling tables together.
What a great little restaurant. Off the beaten path and cattycorner from the Hilton Garden Inn. The food was excellent and the service unbeatable. Had the fish tacos and it was way too much food, you could split with your other half. The atmosphere was nice and the music very eclectic and enjoyable. Made me have a second beer or... More
