I'd ask for their sauces on the side..we had tuna once and the sauce was weird. The chicken was good though!

We had a delicious meal my seafood was fresh and our server Fabian was very attentive. We have eaten there now 3 times in the two years that we have visited here and each time it has been a great experience and food was excellent even in the off season. Just know that they close at 9 snd when music... More

Mako Mikes was an interesting restaurant. OMG cheesy decor - talking about hanging fish; lol Layout is also a little different. Food, however is excellent and the wait staff is very professional and friendly. We both had crab cakes - him a fried crab cake sandwich and I had the broiled crab cakes dinner. Delicious. Crab cakes were nice and... More

We tried this on a Sunday night in November, when it seems like most restaurants in the area are closed. Overall our food was delicious. My pork shanks were perfection. The bread was excellent and so was the bananas foster dessert. This place seems a little tourist-trapish, but hey, if our kids were with us they would have loved the... More

After driving around looking for restaurants open mid -Oct, we were happy to find Mako Mikes. Had an excellent waitress, great food, and a cool interior decorated with fake sharks, many fish. My date ordered Grouper with shrimp and I had tasty crab cakes. The salads were fresh and rolls also. On the way out my humorous date asked the... More

It has bee years, but still excellant! Asked for and received RARE tuna and got it. The table raved over the huge pile of delicious Calamari.

My mother in law picked this place said it was really good....... I hate to disagree. The service was OK- only came by twice to check on us. The food was very bland and overcooked. We all had the broiled seafood and it was all overcooked except the crab cake. And what seafood restaurant doesn't have baked potatoes?? This was... More

We enjoyed a fine meal at Maco Mike's the Saturday night after Hurricane Matthew made his presence known in the Outer Banks. By the name and logo, we were expecting something a little more rustic. The interior has multi level dining to separate tables for a more pleasant dining experience with lots of sea creature murals, paintings and ornaments. We... More

My family tried this place and my wife and I wanted to try the shark figuring it would be good since the name of the restaurant is "Mako" Mike's. The kids were happy with the usual fries and hamburg's but my wife and I were rather disappointed with the shark. In all fairness, seeing how neither of us have ever... More
