Jacksonville, NC is known for being a military town. People here come from all over the world and travel all over the world. When in Jacksonville, you can see restaurants from chains to the local 'Mom and Pop' stores. Aji Ichiban A taste of Okinawa is one over those restaurants that came from some one who knows what this town... More

Wife saw this place as we drove by and suggested we might try them out, just for comparison to the Okinawan restaurant we visited in Las Vegas. Wife ordered Okazu with beef, tofu and veggies. Simple Okinawan dish, basically a beef & veggie stir fry with side of white rice and miso soup. She enjoyed it and approved the taste... More

This is a great restaurant and I like their Korean dishes. Try the Kimchi is great. The fry vegetables and miso soup is great.

I went here to meet some friends. It was a quiet atmosphere where you didn't feel harassed by the waitress but also didn't feel neglected. The food was excellent and we couldn't be happier. It was also nice that we were able to visit for a couple hours and were told we could stay as long as we would like.... More

Not impressed with the place, the location or the food. We went for sushi and were given a menu without sushi. We asked for sushi and they brought us one old dirty menu half the size of a letter size paper. Food is not tasty.

Excellent food. Service a little slow but worth the wait. It's very quiet and the atmosphere is very calm and pleasing

I've been going to the Aji Ichiban for years and have yet to be disappointed. If you come here looking for Shoguns style Japanese then you are in the wrong place. Ichiban serves probably the best authentic Japanese food I have tasted here in NC. Lumpia is always piping hot and the Yakisoba is a big enough portion to pack... More

Looks like a normal hole in the wall but those are the best places to eat. Mom and Pop style. Lumpia off this planet. A must try while in Jacksonville ,NC

Aji Ichibon is a favorite of ours! It's just a little hole in the wall place, but that's our kind of place. All of the food is delicious... all of it! And the prices aren't bad...

My wife and I were in Okinawa from 2003 to 2006. We missed food and have not been able to connect with it. Until we found Aji Ichiban, Taste of Okinawa. Just like the name says it is just like getting food back on the island. The place is extremely small but never crowded. The service is excellent and very... More
