Solid Diner Food! We went for breakfast on a Saturday - it was very busy but we walked in and sat right down at the counter. It was fun to watch all of the orders be cooked and sent on their way. We got the waffle and egg breakfast and the two pancakes and eggs breakfast, with a side of... More

Very good diner food. I love breakfast any time of the day. They have consistently good food and a wide selection of choices.

Wonderful little Greek diner near High Point University. Not suitable for parties of over 4 unless you don't mind being separated and seated at different times. Worth the wait (outside) in line. Parking gets tricky when front and back spots are taken. Found street parking on next side street. Missed the pancakes (they stop serving pancakes 11am) but, the waffle... More

This little gem is like a time machine. I remember when all roadside restaurants were like Alex's. Love the decor - 60's diner. They have breakfast and sandwiches. I just had to have the grilled cheese and ham when I saw it on the menu. It was hot and buttery and delish. The service was great. Everyone was so friendly,... More

Alex's House has been a staple in High Point for years. Years ago it was the only late night breakfast in town. Hated to see that go away, but still a great anytime breakfast diner. Surprising the menu is varied and for a quick order diner very good. Small seatings so you may have to wait.

Food was just ok, seating was very limited and the service was poor. It took forever for the waitress to just get our drink order. Only went once and will probably not go back.

My husband and I have been eating here for years mainly on weekends for breakfast. Food is always good and consistent, wait staff always offers prompt service and most times before I get seated, the waitress is bringing our usual morning coffee and water. Breakfast portions are generous as are lunch and dinner. Being a small diner, routine patrons know... More
