Our family has eaten at Old El Paso (Hwy 70)since its opening years ago. It has been a family tradition that on Friday nights, when possible, we head for Mexican food. The menu is a combination of Tex-Mex and authentic Mexican dishes. They have the largest variety of seafood dishes of any Mexican restaurant I have ever visited. The food... More

You have to try the bean dip, it is amazing. This is the best Mexican eatery in 3 counties. They are always fast and the staff are wonderful.

Had lunch with friends at El Paso. Had a chile relleno (would have liked more pepper and less batter) with a taco, my husband had a burrito, and another friend a poblano pepper. We all enjoyed our lunch which was reasonably priced. The menu is the typical mexican southern restaurant menu.

It's good food for a decent price and for a crap hole like hickory that's not too bad. They have a huge sandwich and plenty of large portion dinners.

Patrons come to this venue to learn how to think, order, eat and drink Mexican! As well, people travel widely to learn how to prepare and serve an extensive menu of starters and entrees. One of my favorites is the chunky guacamole. Second-to-none...no ifs, ands or buts. Recommend ordering the huge platter of shrimp served with sauteed yellow and green... More

We order takeout from El Paso weekly. It's always fresh and hot and prepared quickly. They've never gotten our order wrong and are always friendly and professional.

Meet halfway for lunch. The service was exceptional. Margaritas were super! The tacos plater is done well for presentation, and filling. Everything was delicious and well presented. Food came out quickly and the waiter checked back several times. We'll be back!

El Paso is a great Mexican restaurant, and is always busy. In my opinion it's the best Mexican around. El Paso offers a salsa bar and unlimited chips and bean dip. I expect you to have a hard time deciding on all the great choices. I have tried everything; from the torta cubana to carnitas. El Paso has great prices... More

Passing through we stopped here by chance. Externally and internally not particularly impressive but the food - wow. Possibly one of the best Mexicans I have ever eaten in.

Stopped here while traveling through Hickory for work. The service was very good with smiling faces. I got the Chilaquiles Mexicanos because I love Chilaquiles. The price was more than most everywhere else but the portion made up for it as it was a big plate. I believe they forgot to add the green sauce as it was very cheesy.... More
