Having grown up at the ocean I am picky about fresh. And you can't get fresher than this. The owner is committed to selling only the freshest local fish. We've been buying from him on our vacations for ten years, and we don't go anywhere else - even if it means a 45 minute round trip from wherever we are... More

They sell seafood! FRESH seafood! I judge a seafood store (or section in a grocery store) with my nose. If I smell ocean, I buy. If I smell fish, I leave! Risky Business is run by professionals. And it shows. They'll steam your purchase for you for $1.00 per lb more. (Seems all fish mongers charge for steaming down here.)... More

We had Mahi Mahi from Risky Business and it was delicious. We asked for two fillets and it was enough to feed four people! If you're looking for fresh fish, this is the place to go.

Best shrimp in OBX!! Pleasant staff, great food. While you are waiting , walk the docks and see the boats coming in with huge fish.

Stopped here on our last day, loaded up some coolers with shrimp, fish and crab to take along home with us. Service was knowledgeable and helpful, didn't have a problem helping us pick things she thought we would like based upon our taste. So far we have had some of the fish and the crab, very good. My only comment... More

While in Frisco, my husband and I went to Risky Business to purchase shrimp for our group of 15. Shrimp was fresh and delicious. The next day we went back to buy some of the homemade crab cakes that were for sale. OMG! These crab cakes are for real-- no filler at all. The only place I can say that... More

Risky Business has just the best fresh seafood one could want. The retail space is tiny and immaculately clean. The staff has helpful suggestions. Our favorite is the shrimp, steamed on order as we wait briefly. So far we've been repeat customers daily for the tuna, which we sear for an appetizer. Last night we broiled marvelous pieces of snapper.

Have been coming to Cape Hatteras for over 20 years and always look forward to visiting Steve and the crew at risky business seafood. They make, hands down, the greatest steamed shrimp in the world. Yes in the World !! We order ours hot with medium spice. They always have a variety of fresh catches. Depending on the season it... More

My family and I ordered their shrimp for takeout to bring back to our vacation rental home. I read online that their shrimp was a must have and takeout was a GREAT choice. We loved eating their big steamed shrimps covered in their house seasoning. You can adjust the spice level by telling them how hot you want the flavor.... More
