We were say in the bar area. They weren't busy at all. We tried the Calabash oyster skillet. It was just ok. Husband had Old Standard ( cheeseburger). He enjoyed it, a little overcooked. I had the Calabash popcorn shrimp with salad and broccoli. A little greasy on the shrimp. Salad and broccoli were good. Not until we actually got... More

Service was good. Food was standard. Nothing outstanding, just normal for the chain. Minor snide comment from the waitress to the hostess..should keep that out of sight of the customers.

I ordered the loaded baked potato for dinner just because it's so fattening you shouldn't eat anything but it (and that it's really, really good). The potato came and it was so cold the butter never melted. I asked the waitress to take it back and throw it in the microwave for 30 seconds. She returned with another potato and... More

Fatz is a popular larger scale resturant with a full service bar. The inside is very well laid out with good comfortable seating. The staff is always friendly and they go out of the way to make sure you enjoy your meal. Fatz is known for its Calabash Chicken, which is a fried batter that has a special seasoning. The... More

Telephoned a simple take out order: calabash chicken salad. It's an order I've eaten many times. It took twenty minutes to get there from the time I phoned in the order. The salad minus chicken was ready when I got there. I was told the chicken would be right out. I paid then had to wait 15 minutes for the... More

Waitress name was Daisy. Very friendly and accommodating. Food was very good. Fresh and cooked to order. My friend ordered a medium rare burger and it was cooked perfectly. I ordered the chicken burger... not specified on menu how chicken is prepared. It came out fried and I mentioned I would prefer it grilled...waitress said no problem. She took my... More

I'm in Franklin at least one week per month for work. I've ordered from the Fatz here at least 12 times in the last 6 months. Of those 12 times, I can say that I only had two or three good experiences. Tonight, was the last straw. I called and ordered the Fatz combo with fries, house salad, and baked... More

We went for dinner during a visit to Franklin, as we wanted a steak. The service was good. We ordered the six oz sirloin dinners. The salad was OK, mainly iceberg lettuce, with a little bit of cheese, carrot, and bacon. Blue cheese dressing had lots of lumps. Our steaks were ordered medium rare. Mine looked nicely pink, but was... More

This used to be a go to restaurant for us but what a change since we have been back ( a couple of months). The service was ok but not great - she got slow as she got more than 3 tables. The food was nowhere near a good as it had been. The ribs were not "fall of the... More

We recently visited The Great Smokey Center for Performing Arts to see The Lettermen for mom's 73rd birthday. We ended up having a late dinner after the show at Fatz. We actually arrived 30 minutes before closing but we graciously seated and served with a smile and delicious food. This place has been consistently a good choice for us when... More
