I heard they were closing so I went during lunch on the last Friday they were open. My friend and I got the buffet. It was wonderful. The salad items were very fresh and the white pizza was amazing. We had to wait a few minutes as the pizzas were gone but there was pasta on the buffet as well.... More

I enjoyed Sal's. Though; I liked their earlier location. It seemed to offer more on the buffet. In both variety and quality. It's over now. After 30 years they close tomorrow.

This was our first visit to the Raleigh-Durham area and we had no clue where to eat. This restaurant was close to our hotel and easy to find. Two of us arrived shortly before they closed. The waitress was very kind and assured us we had plenty of time to order and eat our meal. We selected penne All Nonna... More

Soooo yummy! Huge slices of thin crust with lots of cheese and yummy sauce. The eggplant parmesan is thin, crispy and cheesy. The subs are great as well, there's nothing that doesn't taste good! Excellent lunch buffet.

While caring for my mother, it wasn't uncommon to have 6 to 10 visit on weekends. I called Sal's and at first I was confused, because they are as casual as an old friend. I said, "dinner for 10, antipasta salad, lasagna, and Sal's chicken" and when I picked up the order it was enough food for my guests and... More

I have been driving by Sal's for years. After reading the reviews on Trip advisor I decided to go in and pick up a pizza. I was excellent. A real NYC pizza in Durham NC. I will be back.

Ate their because it was close to hotel. Should have driven two miles West to big mall where there are many restaurant choices in different price ranges. Also several other restaurants just north of the interstate at the same exit. Very few other customers in the place. Service was a bit slow. Salad bar had minimal items of ordinary quality.... More

Overall the food is wonderful. Now my experience with the staffing is terrible since they are horrible. When calling to make an complaint, the representative reacted in unconcern manner. I asked if the manager can give me a call, he replied "I GUESS." What kind of response is that to give to a customer? One of the servers called me... More

Hi, I ordered the medium pizza and asked the waitress to show me the size of it. I took the medium size, which ist 16" and to big for one person. Seems the restaurant targets family diner. I did not see a small pizza and the waitress did not offer it to me. The order took quite some time, but... More
