We stopped in to watch a recent UNC game, and were quite impressed at the generous collection of TVs around the restaurant and bar. We had already had dinner, but we went for the Mile High Ice-Cream Pie while we watched the game. This dessert is a steal at $9. This could easily feed 3-4 people, as we both ate... More

I ordered the country fried chicken with pimento cheese mashed potatoes and jalapeno corn bread. The description made you believe it was going to be a whole breast country fried in a special batter. What came was two thin pieces of chicken breast meat over battered and cooked too long. The breading was hard and the chicken was overcooked and... More

Went here for business dinner as second choice, on Mardi Gras. Zero atmosphere or charm, but good service and quite acceptable BBQ ribs for a very fair price. If you want something very casual, no-frills, and inexpensive, you could do much worse.

We were looking for a place to eat after visiting Duke University. There were two other places we tried to get into in the same outdoor mall, but the waiting time was too much. We settled on Champps (as I'd guess happens with a lot of others who spill in here deciding not to wait for the other places). Our... More

We Had 5 couples in our group so 10 people in total. We had Wagyu Beef truffle burger ( undersized), Tuscan Salmon which was cold, full rack of ribs which was good, Tennessee spicy chicken which did not have much flavor, Loaded grilled cheese with house kettle cooked potato chips which was the worst chips ever cooked, Bourbon salmon which... While nearby Cheesecake Factory was quoting an hour wait (Saturday evening about 6pm EST), Champs had NO WAIT for our party of five (5). It was raining out, so none of us wanted to wait outside for an hour. We had appetizers (chicken tenders, fried mozzarella), entrees (burger, more chicken tenders, and the shrimp jambalaya), Blue Moon draft beer, and... More

We visited at lunchtime and the staff were attentive and helpful. Service was fast. Good varied menu. The food was good and value for money. Would be happy to visit again.

We like Chammps due to the location and their burgers. We like to sit outside, but since they allow smoking outside, it can really dampen the non smokers atmosphere. We either sit at the bar or outside and generally have good service. This is a great place for quick eats and if you are into sports, there are plenty of... More
