We walked in and there were a lot of people in line to place an order. I didn't know what half the things on the menu were (rapini, asiago fresco, soppressata, granda padano, tallegio, gorgonzola, caponata, ribiola) and there were too many people behind us for them to take the time to explain what the things were. I don't order... More

This is my favorite light quick dinner and lunch place in Durham. The food is excellent, it is informal, easy, and the staff is great.

Lunch was great. I got the panini and my wife had a great salad. We sat outside and watched Durham go by. The food was great and cooked perfectly.

Without question the food is unbelievable. The best lunch i had during this trip. Be prepared to wait 15-20 minutes for your order. The place has seating for approximately 50 people and we had no problem getting a table at the height of lunch hour. Highly recommend.

I recommend a couple of the smaller items so you get to taste more of their awesome creations, but everything is good here.

I wasn't overwhelmed by my first visit here, so it took me a while to come back. The consistently good reviews and lack of other options recently brought us back before a recent Bull's game. I have to say that I'm quite happy we did! This is another of the common order at the front, take a number, and find... More

The serve a verity of fancy sandwiches, panini, and salads. It is a cute little shop, perfect for a bite to eat for lunch. It is also right at the heart of downtown Durham. It is fast and good quality.

I had a wonderful panini with salad. It was all yummy!!! It can get crowded at lunch, but they are fairly quick.

Two blocks from the beautiful Carolina Theatre. Needed a quick bite before the evening show. Pizzeria Toro had a well deserved 1/2 hour wait but Toast Restaurant across the street served immediately and had seats available. Quick food: chicken salad on white with "aioli" (not really very good or garlicky), tuna salad and other small foods plus paninis. Fast service... More

Great service, didn't rush the newbie at the counter, even thought there was a line. Great food, simple Italian fare done incredibly well. Unique perspective. What more could you want?
