Kimball's Kitchen located across from the Sanderling Resort has become the premier restaurant in the outer banks. Every dish was well thought out and executed leaving one wanting more and more. The service staff is second to none, they are all very knowledgeable and very engaging. The wine list is extremely extensive and has something for everybody. We will definitely... More

Great Food and Service. The meals were excellent and large in portion. Clean upscale healthy ingredients and presentation, Expensive but worth it.

Our experience at Kimball's Kitchen was truly exceptional. Much of what I was prepared to write was already eloquently articulated in the precisely accurate review by "rlinvill" entitled, "Best Fine Dining on OBX & Maybe East Coast". Most people who love the shore simply want to walk around in sandals and beachwear casually enjoying the sun, sights and sounds of... More

I was seated for too long without water or a drink. My harried server said she'd bring bread as soon as it came out from the oven. She brought the bread later after my entree and it was clearly loaf bread that had been sliced and not baked that evening. She said she hoped it hadn't cooled off too much.... More

My husband had the fresh tuna & said it was great. My steak was over marinated so not what I expected.

We have been vacationing in the area for over 15 years and always passed on this place because it was under a different name and was "coat and tie required," which I felt was ridiculous for the OBX. On our last evening this fall, we decided to try it as Kimball's Kitchen. The parking is easy and the site is... More

We very much enjoyed our celebration dinner. I had the shrimp and grits, hubby had the pork chop. Mine was very good, his was the best pork chops we've ever had. Monica was our server, very friendly and even treated us to the dessert of the night.

Atmosphere, wait- staff, and gluten free bread were superior. Brussel sprouts side ( which we have had at the Culinary Institute in NY) was beyond "roasted" and lacked taste. Inconsistent palate results on entrees for five people...Presentation was beautiful but flavor did not meet expectations.

Now, my partner and I travel a fair bit and have had some great food together in the last two years including 5-star restaurants in Boston, San Francisco and Raleigh. However, she and I agree that this was the most outstanding meal we've had in years. It started with being seated just as the sun was setting over the sound... More

The Speaker at my Veterinary Conference recommended for all of us to try this restaurant...said the Brussel Sprouts were to die for! We made reservations and we were not disappointed. I had the Lobster Ravioli stuffed with claw meat presented with the Tail in a lemon butter sauce. I asked for a piece of bread so I could enjoy the... More
