Definitely upscale Chinese food. Very clean and welcoming. Unfortunately, I only needed soup but my choice was one I had never tried before. Chicken Wonton soup, it was made with diced chicken instead of pork. yes!!!! I will be back. Thank you for the nonpork option of one of my favorite soups.
88 China Bistro is the ONLY place we will eat Chinese food in Charlotte. It's a small restaurant near Novant hospital. The owner is typically the waiter and his wife run the register. If you are looking for a place to eat on the way downtown to Blumenthal Performing Arts Center, then 88 China Bistro is an excellent choice. The food is excellent, served hot and fast, and the prices are right. This is one of the few restaurants that serves a combination plate at dinner and these are really good.
We're hear almost every weekend. We can always count on fresh, delicious food, great service and a friendly staff. Definitely worth the money!
This modest restaurant in a small shopping center near Presbyterian Hospital is a great find. The food is always fast and fresh, lunch or dinner. 88 never fails, food and servuce are always spot on. Great soups, always a pleasing special. Hot and sour soup, shrimp and chicken special and great hot tea. The owners are such lovely people and always make you feel welcome.
This is my 1st visit here and although the decor is pretty basic the food is good. The staff is very attentive which makes this place a good choice. The food is a step up from the traditional Chinese fare. The prices are good too.
FRESH! By far the best Chinese in Charlotte. I work nearby and it is not uncommon to do lunch here 2-3 times a week. The staff is amazing and the food is too! The staff does rotate a little but management must have a good selection process because one is just as good as the next. The basil chicken is... More
