We were there for lunch, had a delicious caesar salad with fried green tomatoes, great biscuits, super service and a thoroughly wonderful experience. The hotel is historic and had beautiful, well maintained features such as old windows with deep sills. The couple of hours spent there was a sheer delight!

Since renovating the dining room, the Crossroads definitely gives off a more modern vibe. The design is lovely and a lot less stuffy than the old decor. I was pleasantly surprised with the number of samples brought to the table, all of which complimented our meal wonderfully. The waitstaff were also extremely professional, friendly, and helpful. While it is more... More

Had a quick business trip to Chapel Hill and we stayed at the Carolina Inn. I wanted to go out to watch the football game but was extremely tired so I settled or so I thought I settled for this place. I ordered the Crossroads Burger with a fried egg 🍳, bacon 🥓, and avocado 🥑...(don't judge me) and let... More

We snagged a booth on a VERY busy Sunday afternoon. Beautiful redesign of this historical property's restaurant and bar. 10 points for decor and ambience. Service sucked. The 'Tasting Table' was underwhelming. The kitchen struggled to even keep bisquits and butter available. We waited an hour for our disappointing entrees. Bad cheeseburgers, well done even though we ordered medium. The... More

Booked a table to take my boss to holiday tea a month in advance. When I received my reminder call, it turns out they wrote down the wrong weekday (one that never works for us) and the caller promised to have the manager call me to confirm that they would fit us in on the proper day since the error... The sign out front says open, but the independent valet says take a hike. Too bad they won't park your car here on weekends. They don't tell you that till you get here. No valet smile. I used to type the valet $20. Oh yes, this is a restaurant review. 5 out if 5 but walk here only.

We have visited this restaurant for decades, from the 70's. This was our first visit to the recently changed, I would say downgraded, restaurant. The old decor has been replaced by a bare bones look. Very noisy. Limited menu. Nothing about the new restaurant appealed to us. Our final visit!

This Restaurant is in the Carolina Inn. It has recently been transformed from an elegant southern dining room to a noisy cafeteria like environment. The food is still very good!

We came here for lunch as a recommendation from the UNC visitor center. The Inn itself has a lot of pictures from it's early days along with the area during the early days of UNC, which was very informative. The restaurant had very nice and good lunch options along with a very nice atmosphere and service. Highly recommend coming here... More

The Crossroads has the feel of a great restaurant in a fine hotel, rather than a hotel restaurant. The dinners we had were excellently prepared, and the service was cordial and hospitable. I would cheerfully dine here again when I return to Chapel Hill.

Thank Cincinnati-Bill
