If you are looking for something different, Talullas is the place for you. Try everything! We prefer grazing on small plates (mezzes). The bread and pitas are all fresh and hot and great for dipping. Great service! Nice wine list.

Nine of us in 3 generations went to Tallula's for dinner. It took them a while to get a table set up - despite our having had a reservation. Once it was set up though, our waitperson was a gem. Most of us decided to...More

Not sure what to get, so shared several appetizers. Everything was delicious, server was very pleasant and helpful, and restaurant has a fun atmosphere.

We never tried Turkish food before and we were NOT disappointed! We had an appetizer of different spreads on really good fresh warm bread. Yogurt, hummus, lentil, stuffed grape leaves... For dinner I had the steak kabob. It was served with rice and veggies. My...More

We finally went here for the first time, having lived in Chapel Hill for decades. Mostly we had a good experience with some caveats. The main one was about the service. Seemed like they needed more training. The server tried to sit us on stools...More

This location is easy to find with ample parking across the street. I attended with three colleagues, one of whom wasn't feeling well. Not only did our server just to grab some bread and ginger ale for a queasy stomach but she offered to query...More

Many dishes with aromatic spices and wonderful sauces make choosing what to eat somewhat difficult. My family and friends have not been disappointed in the great food.

Stopped by here for dinner tonight and it was fantastic! The atmosphere is very cute though it is a tad small inside and our service was great. The hummus was very good and different then your just basic traditional hummus. We both ordered lamb and...More

We decided to eat here to try something different. I thinks we had been greeted by the entire family by the time we left. I had the ground lamb and my husband had lamb shaved onto pitas. The rice side was very good and the...More

The food is comparable to what we enjoyed in Turkey. The red lentil soup was outstanding. We enjoyed the mezze platter, all of which was excellent. They even have real Turkish tea, but unfortunately not real Turkish tea glasses. We will return.

they have valets there but if you drive down Franklin (away from Tallulah's) and turn right at the first (or second, I can't remember clearly) crossing there is a public parking space

Graduation is a special situation and the advice of others is very valid. My visits have been in the summer and it was immediate seating when we wandered in.

When you walk through the shadowed glass doors of Talulla's, an instant transformation begins to occur. Your mind and body begin to relax. Your ears pick up on the eclectic mix of music. Your eyes wonder around the walls, decorated in Turkish rugs; then the ceilings, scattered with warm, unique lighting pieces; then the floors... the dark, hardwood floors; and finally, across the plush seating areas, disguised by cushions and pillows and fabric leisurely draped around the frames.
