The specials here are great and the food is always good. But the staff never fail to be rude and unaccommodating. Not really worth their bad attitudes for unimpressive seafood.

this is a highly regarded great place to eat well prepared fresh fish. The preparations are traditional, no surprises. Portions are large and satisfy.

We looked forward to dining at the restaurant based on the reviews and recommendations from friends. We ordered the lobster bisque and spinach salad as starters and shrimp risotto and the flounder platter as entrees. The lobster bisque was not very good at all - among the worst I have tasted. The small chunks of lobster were mushy and the... More

We've dined here several times over the last couple of years and always found Squid's to be an enjoyable experience. But I must say the food, while good, isn't up to the raves that our friends always give it. Here's why I think that's the case. You see, in North Carolina seafood means battered and fried. Period. If that's what... More

Excellent service, diverse selection of seafood. Blackened grouper was prepared perfectly. PEI mussels were prepared in a delicious curry, cream sauce.

Our starter was a half and half order of fried squid (regular and Cajun). Both were cooked perfectly. I took a tip from our server Kiara and ordered the rib eye medium rare. It was better than a rib eye I had in a very expensive steakhouse in Kansas City recently. It was accompanied by green beans and roasted potatoes.... More

Food was average, nothing special. Menu selections were good but the food was salty. The staff was very friendly and courteous.

A group of us went and had appetizers and seafood. The food was delicious. The service is A plus. We had cocktails and stayed for hours such a nice comfy place that we ordered dessert in order to linger. Try making reservations as this is a very popular local restaurant

The five of us had such a convivial evening here that we stayed for hours. The flounder and lobster were yummmy I had a Bloody Mary made to perfection. Our friends had appetizers and ordered mostly fish because Squids does fish. Many other menu items to order from. We had to have dessert because we stayed and relaxed together.

This restaurant is the kind of place you can count on for fresh fish, cooked the way you like it. I go there fairly frequently and have always found that they are willing to tweak their food to suit you with less or no sauce, cooked as you like. There are a lot of regular standard dishes, and interesting specials.... More
