We enjoyed a two hour meal at Il Palio - the staff allowed us to take our time, ordering one course at a time. Attentive staff and very good food.

I was here for my granddaughter's christening celebration. The restaurant is beautifully appointed and the food was outstanding. We had melon wrapped in amazing prosciutto for appetizers as well as tomato goat cheese crostini that were so delicious. Meatballs, eggplant and monkfish were our main courses and one was better than another. The dessert were these wonderful lemon ricotta bombolini,... More

I went here for Valentine's day with my girlfriend. We were both very pleased and the staff were extremely attentive. It was expensive, but I knew this going into the establishment. One of the only things I would change would be the portion size, they are on the small size. With that stated it is perfect for dinner, just don't... More

We went to the Siena Hotel to celebrate our aniversary and had another wonderful meal and experience. We started off with cocktails in the bar with an appetizer. Chris was absolutely fantastic and made us feel like very special guests. Dinner in the main dining room was also perfect. Our server was Mark and he remembered us from a visit... More

We have been business customers of the Sienna Hotel and its restaurant, Il Palio for over ten years and I hate to complain but some service and kitchen issues need to be straightened out. We invited some very important out of state business guests to stay at the Sienna and join us for a dinner at Il Palio. Of six... More

Located inside the Siena Hotel this is an outstanding establishment for food and service albeit a bit pricy. Service provided by Mark and Ally was top notch. We tried the lasagna, Ravioli, veal osso bucco and chocolate torte for dessert. Dining room is nice but not too special. Highly recommended for a special dinner.

This restaurant has always been one of my favorites and our meal last night was absolutely wonderful. The décor has been redone and they have a new Chef that has changed the menu and offers outstanding dishes. For years, I have told folks that this is the best Italian restaurant in NC and somehow they have improved! The service is... More

This may be the first 5 stars I have given to a restaurant but this sophisticated restaurant earned it. While it is a quiet restaurant , tables are spaced a nice distance apart so your conversation will not be the talk of your neighbor's table. The wine list including wine by the glass is first class. Table service is professional... More

There are few, if any, venues that serve Italian cuisine that rank has high as Il Palio' for authentic Tuscan fare. Named after the great Italian Horse race (The Palio) held in the town square every year, this venue has great lunches, Dinners and Sunday brunch is the best anywhere in the state that I have dined. I strongly recommend... More

As longtime Chapel Hill residents, we are blessed with a lot of choices when it comes to dining out. We like to choose Il Palio when we want to celebrate a special occasion, and it has never failed to meet or exceed our expectations. The service is attentive and caring but not intrusive, and the food is always delicious and... More
