After reading many wonderful reviews my Husband and I finally made it to Lantern. The highlight for me was the Tom Yum soup- AMAZING and my Husband's pork dumplings were really great. As others have noted the entrees were not as spectacular- I had the...More

I don't get the hype. I went here with family to celebrate my husband's birthday. We were all really looking forward to it, but it turned out to be such a disappointment. To start, we ordered Indian fried okra and dumplings as appetizers, and both...More

Definitely one of my absolute favorite restaurants in town. The restaurant is small and stylish and the menu isn't a book, but everything on it is over the top delicious. Fresh local ingredients and options from red meats to fish and vegetarian entrees are available....More

I went to Lantern the evening with my son who is freshman at UNC. I selected it based on Trip Advisor reviews, its proximity to the UNC campus, and my son's love of Asian food. Their menu changes (don't count on choices in the link...More

Food options are unique and exquisitely prepared across the board. The bar is a fun place to be. The service totally attentive, caring, yet with a pleasant lightness. Awesome experience.

The physical facilities are clearly tired and in need of updating (cracked bench seating upholstery and worn tabletops). The Asian fusion cuisine is tasty, but may be a bit spicy for some. It was disappointing to learn that the website was a bit misleading as...More

We ended our meal with ice cream - creme fraische. You know how you save the best for last? Well I couldn't. We ended with a wonderful treat. To start we had the salt and pepper shrimp, which was perfectly divine. Then for the main...More

If I'm paying fine dining prices I expect well prepared, interesting food and impeccable service. Lantern provides both consistently! Oh- and their cocktails are great fun too. There is good reason why Andrea Reusing has won a James Beard award.

The food here is truly spectacular. The combination of flavors and textures and temperatures makes for a spectacular meal. In addition the service could not be better. Our waiter was knowledgeable and attentive without hovering. We split a bunch of appetizers and he made sure...More

Hello Paul, Sorry I just caught your question. It would probably be $20 per person entree, not counting appetizers or dessert. So $300 estimate without tax or tip.
