Best Cellars has a varied and interesting menu. All entrees come with a salad and a side so prices are very competitive on that basis. I ordered the tuna. It was cooked perfectly and not overcooked as tuna can sometimes be. I had the house salad (delicious with home made blue cheese dressing). My friends had the trout with picatta... More

The place is inside the Inn at Ragged Gardens. It has a warm feel, and excellent wine selection and menu. We ate there twice, due to the service and great food. They know how to prepare a delicious plate! There are alos specials, and their seafood appetizer was awesome. Worth the trip!

Noisy on a Saturday night on the porch. Food fabulous. Waitstaff also fabulous. Highly recommend. Vegetarian entree was outstanding (peppers stuffed with artichokes, olives, quinoa, onions, etc. Delicious.

A wonderful adult dining experience. We prefer the actual cellar, but I can'd say why. Classic upper end menu, fresh and well prepared. You should not be disappointed.

Tonight we ventured up the mountain to celebrate the patriarchs 75th birthday. Our party of six was greeted by Amanda who continue to impress through the night with her dedication to not only our table but the other four tables for which she was carrying. The standard menu offers a wonderful bounty from the land and sea. A variety of... More

We eat here every time we are in Blowing Rock! This time did not disappoint. The staff was phenomenal. Due to unforeseen issues we called about an hour before our reservation and asked if it could be pushed back 30 minutes, and they were so accommodating and said absolutely! The waitress was awesome...I wish I could remember her name. The... More

We had a fabulous anniversary dinner here. It is a beautiful and cozy restaurant. Great service and great food. The best part of the night was their version of toffee bread pudding. Neither one of us love bread pudding, but had heard good things about it so we ordered it. It was AMAZING. I highly recommend the restaurant and definitely... More

I wanted to take my wife and son out for a special meal and Best Cellar was stellar! Caring service, great wine list, hundred-year-old wine cellar (yes, it's in the cool cellar and yes, you can go see it and even better, book to eat down there), old home with history, nice garden views. The oyster-spinach said was well-presented and... More

We dined at the Best Cellar many years ago when it was in its original location. It was excellent. This year, we were in Blowing Rock for New Year's and decided to eat there for New Year's Eve. What a change. We were expecting another great meal, and what we got was a disappointment. My scallops were underdone with almost... More

A long time institution in quaint, lovely Blowing Rock it'd been awhile since we'd visited the Best Cellar. Service - from hostess to staff - was a delight. Food, spot on. Grouper is a fixture on the menu = a hugh plus for us. Recommend.
