This restaurant is not anything special. I believe it is locally owned and operated which is good. The food was on the border of good..nothing special. The prices were in line with any touristy establishment. The best part of the visit was the friendly service. Give them a try...perhaps I was there when the best cook had a day off.

Sort of a dive. Not very clean. Server was inattentive and sloppy. Refilling water, and spilling more than in the glass. Way too casual for my tastes. Clam chowder is ok, decent, certainly not the best, but the cup holds about four spoonfuls. Tuna tacos were really over cooked. A bar that serves average food. I would not go back.... More

First time eating at Finz. I ordered house salad & firecracker shrimp. That was pretty good. However, my boyfriend ordered a flounder sandwich - by appearance - it looked amazing. Huge piece of fish covering half the plate with French fries piled high. However, it was not edible. After a couple of bites, he began to feel sick. Said fish... More

The four of us stopped in for appetizers and drinks before heading out for more site seeing. We all had the New England Clam Chowder, which was very good (and we're from New England, and tend to be clam chowder snobs!). It's a thick white chowder with lots of clams, potatoes, and bacon. The cup is a rather small portion,... More

Went here many times while working for the summer at Cape Lookout National Seashore, always for dinner. It's a great place to settle down for the evening and have a drink on the water. You can also pull your boat up here. The food is always good and affordable. You HAVE to try the fried shrimp - out of this... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by a local who stated that its seafood is absolutely outstanding. The restaurant did not disappoint. In fact, the fried shrimp was outstanding......lightly breaded and perfectly seasoned. The portions were extremely generous! Dining. locations include both inside and the patio which looks out over the water and marina. A bar is also available. I... More

Friendly staff and very efficient. Stopped here for late lunch after a trip to Bird Shoal to photograph horses and birds. This was recommended by the ferry captain. Very glad to have taken his advice because the food was delicious and I will certainly eat here on my next visit to Beaufort!! Had I known about this place sooner, they... More

I live in a coastal city and tourist destination. Waterfront restaurants, in my experience, can thrive on the tourist trade by skating just above not-quite-mediocre-enough. This place could easily give the impression that it was all about the same, but what we got was fresh, honest, well-prepared coastal grill fare for lunch, served promptly and cheerfully on the Beaufort waterfront.... We stopped into Finz for a quick lunch before taking a ferry over to Carrot Island to see the wild horses. When we were seated on the deck, we were pleasantly surprised to be able to watch one of the wild horses across the channel along with all the boating activity associated with a coastal town. This made our lunch... More

Very marginal service on a Sunday evening....not very friendly, rather brusque, the fries are good and the cocktail sauce too. I would not go back for the seafood. But I will say the views are outstanding! Go for a drink at sunset.....then.....
