Driving around looking for a café with character, we came across this little gem. Easy parking right next door to the café encouraged us to go and check it out. The café had various setting areas for privacy or for groups, lots of art works around. The best part was the food - what a lovely range of made on... More

We needed a little lunch, and having crossed by ferry, remembered that we had been here before, on a previous visit from the UK. Friendly staff, prompt service, sandwiches freshly made, toasted ones for the children, except those who had satisfying meat pies! Interesting decor. Would come again.

Best café to stop at before getting on or off the ferry to Whitianga. Friendly service, great home-made muffins and scones with your coffee.

After the very short trip(less than 5 minutes) in the ferry from Whitianga we walked up through the cemetery to have lunch at this café with art and craft items for sale. The food was tasty and nicely presented.

The breakfast menu tells you exactly what you're going to get, no disappointments with the number of eggs or sausages. That sums the place up to me, honest, straightforward. Probably a lovely place on a sunny day, we were just happy it was a dry, welcoming place on a wet one.

Visited Sept'14. After packing up our holiday chalet for 'home', and being confessed coffee addicts/connoisseurs, friends brought me here for my first ever cronut. Yum!! In fact there was a good selection of treats for elevensies or afternoon tea. This café has a lovely setting by the play park and waterside. We sat outside to enjoy the early spring sunshine... The food was good enough for a cafe. You can reach this cafe without a long drive by taking the ferry directly from Whitianga and walking a short distance to the cafe. There are also some lovely beaches nearby that are fun to explore.
