Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

seafood platter for 2 $61. Fish was battered. Mostly WA wine & some Italian wine. No Marlborough SB from NZ. Kitchen & bar closes at 8pm (the law) We sat on the outside deck & the service was good. I found the menu limited, I...am a fussy eater! I enjoyed my cappuccino. Islo Italian is further down & on the water edge as is the hotel which also has Thai food.More

Good: Good choice of lunches - we had calamari. Choice of drinks. Not so good: Sweets were in little pots and weren’t so good.

Popped in here for lunch. We ordered a pepperoni pizza, as the portion size was on the large size. Probably one of the tastiest pizzas I’ve had in a while. Staff were friendly and polite.

This was without doubt the worst food I’ve ever been served anywhere in a long time! A wooden board with heaps of oven fries, some boring smoked salmon in a bowl, chewy soft calamari AND the worst thing of all: some pre fried prawns cooked...in butter then refrigerated so the butter was congealed, cold and disgusting. Obviously this was done to try and pre prepare so that they could just grab it from the fridge and put it on the plate. Waitress tried to tell me that they weren’t meant to be hot/fried garlic prawns, they were ‘poached’ which is why they were cold, congealed and unappetising. I know it’s not the waitress fault but please don’t lie to customers. Ppl at the table next to us said they were so glad they didn’t order the ‘seafood platter for 2’. Please don’t treat customers like idiots. Yes you have a somewhat captive audience on a small island but please have some respect before you serve up this kind of rubbishMore

Great food with plenty of well marked gluten and dairy free options. Had the pescatore GF DF and it was amazing! Great relaxed spot to warm up for a reasonably priced high quality meal.

The food on offer was surprisingly good. Everything we ordered tasted quite delicious and came relatively quickly. The staff were also very friendly. Prices were reasonable, if not at a premium level. Additionally, we got a great view of the town centre where we could...watch the Quokkas walk around. There are gates that stop the Quokkas getting into the establishment which saves your food being stolen (though it looked like one did manage to slip in).More

After a long day hiking we looked forward to a nice dinner. Chose Frankie’s and ordered the seafood platter for 2. We were so disappointed in the crap they served up. The Quokkas could have done better. Over cooked, burnt fish (I think it was...fish), smoked salmon from woolies (which was off), enough oily chips to give everyone indigestion and a couple of pieces of chewy squid. $60. I was so angry I could’ve embarrass myself complaining. So beware if you order this meal. I am not commenting on the other food.More

The food at Frankie’s is the best. Pizza and the seafood platter were our meals this trip and they were delicious. Fresh and tasty. We agree that the chips are the best we’ve had anywhere Highly recommend booking - can book the day of easily...enough but worth putting your name down. You can always get takeaway if you can’t get a booking too.More

Being on Rottnest Island, food outlets have got a captive client group, especially if (like us) you were here on a day trip. So, we were pleasantly surprised to have good pizzas with generous toppings. Also good to sit outside with quokkas wandering around.

We got take away from Frankies and the experience was a positive one. Pleasant staff. Somewhere to sit while one waited. Flexible on adding ingredients to a pasta dish. Reasonably good pizza.

Great alternative to the Pub. Pizzas, pastas and seafood. We were there on a very busy night, service was a little slow, however we had a view of the kitchen and enjoyed the enthusiasm of the chef!
