We booked a table for 5 at 7pm as a treat for our last night evening on Rottnest however we were pretty disappointed. Firstly we were seated outside and it was windy and cold. We were given menus and left the decide which of the delicious sounding dishes we would choose... when it came to ordering though three of our choices (seafood platter, pork belly and chicken) from the compact menu were unavailable. I understand the logistics of supply on the island but it would have been nice to have been warned when we were given the menus - or even when we booked. The waitress apologised, joking "yeah, we have only had half of the menu available today!". The food we did get was mediocre - pizzas thick, stodgy and not browned or crispy at the edges (oven not hot enough?), fish with the fish and chips was just okay. There's not much choice on Rottnest on a Tuesday but I wouldn't bother with Frankie's again.

The friendly staff suggested that I order the Kid's pizza as I was alone. It was perfectly made Hawaiian pizza with a nice crust and just the correct amount for one person. They had free carafes of ice water. I spilled a bit of water and some cute quokkas came over to lap it up. One quokka even nipped at my pants giving me a surprise! It was very nice to sit outside with my meal and the quokkas enjoying the sunshine.

Dying for a coffee after stepping off the early ferry. Restaurant has a great outdoor area where you can people (and quokka) watch. Ordered breakfast - the waffle with chicken, maple bacon and fried egg was too interesting and tempting to resist a try. Eggs Benedict had perfectly poached, fresh eggs with crunchy toast and lashings of hollandaise. Great taste, and very filling. Coffee was nice too. Staff were hard working and friendly.

What a shame when the service is friendly and you're really hungry and you sit down to enjoy a simple lunch. Unfortunately I ordered chicken with my caesar salad and it was so bone dry it was hard. This was added to the sandy lettuce leaves and clumps of fatty undercooked bacon. If proper care was taken with this dish, it could have been great because the dressing was good as were the croutons and my partners prawns in his caesar were nice. Very disappointing

Where do I start… I’ve had 2 bad experiences here and I’m never going again!!! First time I got takeaway pizzas., horrible, gross cheese, undercooked, barely any sauce, and gross crust. Second time I went for breakfast, ordered at 10:45 and it took 50 minutes for 2 breakfast dishes to come out and one of them was a kids meal. The hash browns were store bought, and bacon was uncooked. The service was disappointing to say the least, no one came to take our order, didn’t put the order through after 30 mins after ordering. Just disappointing.

This is my fourth visit and every time I vow never to come back. Every time we visit they have run out of something meaning every time we have to make a second choice. When the food came it was tasteless. My wife had Bay leaves on her pizza and they came with stems attached! I won't be back and suggest readers will get a better meal at any other establishment on the island.

Had an amazing experience here with the most wonderful stuff member, chevon, my friend who I dined with is VERY picky and asked for extra everything and off menu items and she made it possible. Cocktails are lovely and My pizza was absolutely devine so many toppings !! so thanks to the chefs. Definitely will be back very soon !!

Hawaiian pizza and Caesar salad. The pizza is a good size for one person if you’re really hungry or great to split with a salad if you’d like some vegetables. The Caesar has tons of bacon on it. Slightly makes it feel less healthy but still delicious. Also topped with a poached egg. Loved that they had sriracha, Tabasco and pepper flakes available. Most enjoyable though are the quakkas, hopping around the deck, under tables and chairs and outside the restaurant area. Don’t feed them though, it’s against the law.

I pre-ordered a complicated pizza due to my wife's dietary needs. When I arrived to pick it up a few hours later, they 'very apologetically', informed me that they had sold out of gluten free pizza bases. To make it up, they cooked the same requested pizza ingredients with gf pasta (2 serves), charged me nothing and gave me a fine glass of red whilst I waited...that is great customer service and the pasta was delicious. Thanks kindly, you were amazing.

Sure it gets pretty busy between 6pm and 7pm, but this is Rotto and most restaurants are rocking during this period.
Staff do a great job, both chefs and table staff.
Special mention to Siena, who was very professional in dealing with a very slight hiccup with an order.
Food was exceptional, including a Linguine with prawns.
Highly recommend

Bunch of hard working young people , happy ,smiling , well mannered all delivering excellent service and meals to the Rottnest hordes.
Meals are quality and premises ideally located for either Breakfast ,Lunch or a fabulous Dinner meal to finish the day.

This was without doubt the worst food I’ve ever been served anywhere in a long time! A wooden board with heaps of oven fries, some boring smoked salmon in a bowl, chewy soft calamari AND the worst thing of all: some pre fried prawns cooked in butter then refrigerated so the butter was congealed, cold and disgusting. Obviously this was done to try and pre prepare so that they could just grab it from the fridge and put it on the plate. Waitress tried to tell me that they weren’t meant to be hot/fried garlic prawns, they were ‘poached’ which is why they were cold, congealed and unappetising. I know it’s not the waitress fault but please don’t lie to customers. Ppl at the table next to us said they were so glad they didn’t order the ‘seafood platter for 2’. Please don’t treat customers like idiots. Yes you have a somewhat captive audience on a small island but please have some respect before you serve up this kind of rubbish

The cold poached prawns unfortunately don’t appear to be executed well on this day but they are served cold - I am so sorry you felt lied to. Coffee was awful, smashed avo with eggs and feta - a scraping of avocado does not a smash make - scrambled eggs were leathery and inedible(not sure if any milk or cream had been added) a second attempt was no better. Left $40 lighter and still hungry. Very disappointing.

Disappointed today after being here a,couple of times. They must have changed chef or cut back on ingredients. Pizzas dry and not generous, salad was completely missing the feta, it was basically a bowl of Spinich for $26. The whole meal just was very bland. Won't be going back.

This restaurant is one of the more reasonably priced restaurants on Rottnest. It is also open on Monday, when most of the other restaurants are closed. Book early, especially on the cooler nights if you want a table inside - otherwise take a blanket.
The pizzas are pretty tasty but I was disappointed with the seafood basket.
