Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Was our second choice but a great choice as the first pub we went to was not doing dinner. The 'middle pub' has character and pleasant staff but is still having some remedial work done since cyclone. Has good menu selection. Ordered Chicken Schnitzel with...gravy. Michelle ordered the carbonara. At the time the price did seem a little high. When the meals arrived, and promptly at that, they were generous and very tasty. Staff did enquire was our meal satisfactory and had a bit of chat. Would come back again.More

We stopped at the littile caravan park on our way to Onslow last week and decided to go to the pub for dinner . Wow what a great decision that was. We rocked up and staff could not have been friendlier . My wife and...I ordered Steak with Diane sauce and it was abslolutely to die for and in actual fact I can honestly say I have never tasted a Diane Sauce that good!! The steak was cooked to perfection and just melted in your mouth and the food was delivered in really good time and hot! The staff were just so friendly and welcoming and made our stopover in their little town really worth the stop oh and I have never had a bar staffer mix a Bacardi and coke so well it was the perfect combination and tasted magnifficent . Not over the top in coke just the right mix. I would stop over here anytime to get in to some really really good pub tucker. Fantastic guys keep up the good work and thanks for making us feel so welcome . Highyly recomendMore

Had a delicious dinner, two of us had the chicken parmigiana, it was huge but extremely tasty, the scotch fillet was yummy too. Great priced beer and a friendly pub.

I don’t like writing negative reviews, but what I was made to endure at Northampton Motor Hotel’s restaurant was so horrible I feel that others need to be warned. Their restaurant was a big let down for me after having been recommended to have dinner...there. Was served RAW CHICKEN after waiting around 45 minutes for my order to come out, and of which by this time my soft drink I had also ordered was pretty much flat. Returned the food to the owner and I asked them what can be done to solve this problem. Without being given any choice of options for resolving it, the owner took the plate to one of the waitstaff and briefly told them that the chicken was raw and then the owner returned to working at the bar. So I asked the owner what is going to happen, and was just told "they'll sort it out" and for me to sit back down at my table. So I returned to my table and waited there without any knowledge of what was being done to resolve the problem. Around 30 minutes later they served the chicken again. I was worried about eating the chicken again since the first serving given to me was raw and this second serving looked a bit pink from the outside, so I decided I would try eating the veggies since I was very hungry by this time of the night. Shockingly, after I had started eating the veggies, I noticed a long hair on the plate under the veggies! So I had to go back up to the bar counter to return that as well. After waiting even further for what I was told the owner would see me to arrange some kind of resolution, the owner didn't even go out and see me or even apologise. The person behind the bar I had seen about the hair went out to me instead, along with one of the waitstaff, and asked if I would like to have a light meal. I respectfully declined being served more food since I was worried about getting food poisoning from having eaten some of the chicken that was served to me, and calmly expressed how disappointed and underwhelmed I felt with this dinner experience. In the end, I ended up getting a refund for the food cost only, and of which I also had to wait some time for them to return with. In addition to this: awkward and disorganised running of the restaurant, slow service, very poor professionalism and communication, and pretty much no sympathy! Only one staff member showed a small bit of sympathy, the rest didn't appear to care at all. Needless to say, I won't return to the Northampton Motor Hotel. I hope no one else going to the Northampton Motor Hotel's restaurant will experience the same ordeal I endured thereMore

My boyfriend and I pulled in for dinner on our way to Geraldton. Given it was a piblic holiday there was few choices to eat but we were very pleasantly surprised to come across this pub. You know it must be doing something right when...almost all the locals in it are doing the businesses work in spruiking the place the minute you walk in. I was put on to the chilli mussels from one of the regular pub goers (who reccomended getting medium and also recommended the fish burger). Perfect size, great flavours, heaps of mussels and not too saucy. My boyfriend got the parmi - massive (tick!), well cooked and they nailed the chips and salad. Highly recommend to anyway stopping over or passing through. They also had one of my favourite cab savs... bonus.More

What's with the air freshener? Whatever nasty niff was being masked I'm convinced it can't be nearly as bad as the choking amount of air freshener used, I found it particularly nauseating. It was still lingering when we left 2 days later. The rooms are...located motel style in the car park at the rear of the Pub. Each block has 4 rooms. Ours was a family room with a large double and a double single bunk arrangement. It had been freshly painted but the fittings are tired. The door to the bathroom wouldn't close and the lack of a bedside lamp meant a treck to the entrance and back to turn off the overhead light. There is a breakfast nook equipped with a small fridge, kettle and toaster. A small table is available but just one chair. I guess you get what you pay for and I'm pleased to say that it was very clean and the bed, whilst not looking promising was quite comfortable.More

Absolutely amazed experience! My big family of 7 with 5 kids needed a place like this! They accommodated for my kids especially for our special kid. Made it so easy for me to clean and feed them. They gave us big and clean accommodation and...reserved a table for us even tho we was late coming in. They also gave treats for my kids and catered for our needs. The owners was so helpful and just overall charming i cant thank them enough for helping our family out. Definitely made my job easier! Meals was delicious and massive! Pricing was fair and as expected plus fast cooking time! My kids enjoyed their stay and meal! Allen and Bernie are the best! And they spoiled my kids. Thanks again guys. Appreciate it.More

This place is a local favourite as the two people behind the bar were on first name terms with a lot of patrons. It has a very happy friendly vibe. We had lunch there and the main dining room is very quirky with interesting decor....The staff are extremely friendly and the price of the meals are very reasonable. There is a very generous menu selection, including a kids section. along with a light meal menu. We had the buffalo wings and they were very tasty. We ordered the pork spare ribs special, though they tasted and looked like beef, though the flavour was nice. The portions were generous. We like to travel from Geraldton to Northampton for a drive and meal and will definitely return to sample the rest of the menu items.More

Great country pub with a good selection of food and not overpriced. We had lunch, underestimating the portion sizes, had chicken Nachos, cheesy garlic bread and a bowl of wedges... They do big portions, be warned. As we weren’t in a rush, just took our...time and plowed through as best we could. Staff are excellent and helpful. If you’re passing through Northampton, or staying nearby in Port Gregory or the like, or visiting Pink Lake, stop in and have a feed, we’ll worth it.More
