Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

After having already tried the alternatives we discovered this bakery after a recommendation from a local. At first we were put off by the decor, but looking at the range of food options we were very impressed. The staff were lovely. The pies were great....Perfect pastry and a good range of fillings.More

Stopped in Northampton at lunchtime, seemed some locals were using Wrens so in we went. Very good - coffee and sandwich (her) coffee and a pie (him). All tasty and served with a smile, what’s not to like?

Visited last year and was excited to come again. Realise they've changed owners which we weren't worried about that as the food still looked great but the girl serving behind the counter was blatantly rude and really ruined our first impression. She acted as if...serving us was an inconvenience for her and was very rude and disrespectful. Such a shame as the last owners had been lovely.More

We had actually planned to have lunch at the Railway Tavern but it was not opened when we got there. We had just come from the Elbenjo Animal Sanctuary and Betty had mentioned that the pies at the bakery are good. And hence, when we...came across Wren's Cafe and saw the word 'bakery', we decided to lunch here. Tried 4 different pies; mushroom, pepper, curry and chilli and enjoyed all of them except for the chilli one. Still hungry we got the roast pork roll and that was really delicious. The cappuccino and mango smoothies were also good. Noticed on their menu board, they did other cooked Asian food as well.More

If there is no other reason to stop in Northampton, stop here for a pie. Good coffee and friendly service to boot.

I came across the road as the shearing shed was out of beef bacon and cheese pies. Friendly staff, pie was good but not exceptional. The bottom wasn’t cooked enough so it fell apart when I ate. Still a decent pie but if I had...been smarter probably would have picked a different pie at the shearing shed. Wrens Is smart that all food is ready to go and had wraps and toasties all in the warmer ready to buy. On the assumption they’re pretty fresh that is a smart choice as opposed to make to order. I didn’t have a coffee here I also had this across the roadMore

Popular for teas and lunches this café bakery in the main street (Hampton Road) with parking outside the front door, is highly recommended. There is indoor seating and outdoor seating (with dogs allowed outdoors with water supplied). The meat pies are full of chunky steak...in mouth-watering pastry and the sausage rolls are to die for. The cakes are fresh and yummy and all food is made freshly on site. Service is friendly in clean surrounds and the café is open during the weekends for travellers passing through.More

We walked across to the wren after discovering the bakery was out of enough pies to feed us. We were a group of 8 but only ordered 5 dishes as there were children sharing, plus 6 drinks. From ordering time food took 45-50 minutes. A...couple came in after us but got their coffees and amazing looking sandwiches promptly. We got the drinks 20-25 minutes in, and asked about the food. When it came, the fish and chips were lovely, the chicken burger very nice, but the BLT was below average sadly. The interior of the cafe is nicely decorated and there is a basic sunny courtyard. If you aren’t in a hurry, give it a go.More

We stopped in at Wrens for lunch break. Food was very good - we had freshly made sandwiches and wraps that hit the spot. Prices were very reasonable, too, Service was fine, and the ambience pleasant. Also ordered coffee which was passable at best (we...both had flat whites that could have been hotter and stronger) but, that said, have definitely had far worse in similarly sized small towns. Would certainly stop here for lunch again - though maybe have a cuppa tea next time.More

Nice friendly staff and was great to finally get a decaf cappuccino something that most places in the north of WA haven’t heard of. Good range of food available and inside and out seating, the latter great if you have a dog with you. Have...no problem recommending this cafe, give yourself a break and stop.More
