We provide excellent service in a relaxed atmosphere with a delicious à la carte menu from Monday to Saturday that covers the best available local seafoods through to cuisine options from around the world. Buffet dinner for family at Kalbarri edge restaurant

The chef and staff are extremely accomodating especially for a family of young children, food was a bit ‘fancy’ for kids however the chef and staff still made sure kids were well taken care of. Food itself was flavoursome and fulfilling. Only disappointing note was that the option of the evening was a buffet (which is normally fine) however for $50 an adult and $25 a child above age 6 was a tad expensive. Ultimately however won’t be disappointed in food flavours or walking out still hungry

New chef, new menu - AWESOME food! Myself and she who must be obeyed (sometimes) went here for dinner on Tuesday 15th, using our $20 voucher from our Groupon booking. I stuck to water with my meal, while my partner had a lemon lime and bitters. For entrée, I chose the Sweet and spicy squid, and my partner the duo of dips. Well, my squid was delicious from the first smell to the last bite (no I didn't lick the plate) The duo of dips was really yummy too! And a really good sized portion! 4 big slices of sourdough, and happy tummies :) For mains, I had the seafood pasta, and my partner had the pork belly. Oh wow - the seafood pasta was full of plump, well cooked mussels, prawns and clams. My partner had the pork belly, and the only thing I was allowed was a look before she ate it all. The pork was melt in your mouth delicious, and the pork crackle was divine!!!!!!!! Dessert.... didn't think I should, but I really couldn't go past the churro's!! 6 yummy churro's with a choice of chocolate or salted caramel sauces. Yummy!!!!!!!! The service was good, with friendly staff and we will be going again next time we are in Kalbarri. :)

We had the absolute pleasure of dining in this restaurant a couple of weeks ago whilst holidaying in Kalbarri. We were greeted warmly by attentive and welcoming staff and shown to our table which had a lovely white table cloth, a candle, water and glasses. A good start! We selected a very good Great Southern Chardonnay from a carefully chosen wine menu which arrived promptly. The young ones had ' Fire Engines'. How to describe the food? A culinary delight! Honestly, absolutely the best meal we have had in years. Every dish we chose was cooked to perfection. The comfit of duck was superb. Beautiful flavours. The slow cooked pork belly was a delight and our sirloins were cooked to perfection. It melted in the mouth. The prawns in a lovely creamy garlic sauce with rice were just right, not overcooked. All this accompanied by gorgeous vegetables as well as superb presentation made every dish outstanding. Would have loved to sample the desserts (we believe their cheese cake especially is delicious) but we had no room left. Next time! Definately highy recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a gastronomic delight!

Our Father’s Day dinner

The night out for dinner was a disaster as the meal was icy for the seafood plate and my wife’s lamb chops were fatty and raw. We complained about the food and the waitress was very apologetic but no response from the restaurant manager or the chef. We were charged the full amount for the food which was returned as it was inedible. No recommendations from me 🤮

Service is slow. Lack of staff (only one waitress who was very busy attending to many tables). Everyone was sitting and waiting for their orders to be taken. Steak was grainy and hard. The beef, which we ordered medium, was overcooked. We had to return the dish but received some unkind remarks. The chef returned the overcooked beef to us via the waitress and insisted that it was not overcooked. We were told that “He said this was medium”. “He said the beef was thin, so it looked well done”. What hurt our feelings more was that we were asked if steak was cooked differently from where “we were from”. Didnt expect to be upset from a dinner experience on a vacation.

Disappointed

My husband and I went there for dinner. We don’t mind spending money on decent food. My husband had the scallops for entree which were ok and snapper for main. It looked like half a fillet with blood still in it. I had the chicken for entree which was cooked in old oil and overdone and risotto for main which was tasteless. I had to add so much salt and pepper to get get some flavour. Extremely disappointing would not recommend to go here. Go and get fish and chips from the fish and chip shop up the road!

Give this a wide birth

Went there for diner only to be told that it was buffet only, we booked almost ten days in advance and nobody told us it was going to be a buffet even if it was a late decision you would have thought they could have called us. Looked at the buffet lay out and quite frankly at $55 per head was a joke I’ve seen more food at my mums get together. Of course we left and will not return. Very disappointed as previous years the food was always very good.

Food very unacceptable for $50.00 price tag.

We had made a booking for 7pm on arrival (before our booked time) most of the dishes (French theme night buffet) were empty, dishes on menu just not there, had to chase staff just to get bread rolls, and to get any dish replenished again it was go hunt the staff. By 8.15pm staff had already commenced to clear food from buffet, apon asking staff why they were removing what food was left i was informed no one here to which i replied then who are we supposed to be. (buffet was 6pm to 9pm) Barry Cox

Surprise in Kalbarri

Very friendly attentive staff. Went with another couple we shared entree, pork terrine and the chicken wings with a spicy sauce polished off very quickly favourite was the terrine lovely flavour. Mains was Kalbarri red snapper, salmon in miso, sirloin and the battered fish sides of Greek salad and chips to share. All 4of us didn’t have any complaints whatsoever, wine reasonably priced, the red was very warm so we put it in the ice bucket provided and in 10 mins it was lovely. It was busy on the Saturday ignite we went and we would definitely return again when in Kalbarri. Thanks for a lovely night.

Slow Service, Mediocre Food

What a disappointment. We have been looking for another restaurant as good as the Upstairs Restaurant but, unfortunately, we still are. The staff were very pleasant but, after sitting down at 7pm we did not see our main courses until 8pm. My Scotch fillet, ordered medium, was the strangest cut I have ever seen, cremated on the outside and varying from medium to well done. Not, in my opinion, fillet steak but a much cheaper cut. My wife's chicken with camembert was lukewarm, so much so that the cheese had not melted at all. The menu on their website was totally different to what was available on the night. The wine was reasonably priced and the garlic bread starter was good. We won't be coming back.

Excellent family dinner experience

We recently dined at the Kalbarri Edge Resort Restaurant and had a lovely time. Firstly we were thrilled with the ample parking, friendly welcome upon entering the restaurant and warm ambience. It was wonderful to see that the restaurant utilises proper linen such as crisp white table cloths and napkins. We were quickly escorted to our table and offered some free water. The children were offered some colouring in pages and pencils. The food and beverage menus offered a wonderful selection of fairly priced meat, seafood and vegetarian meals. The beverage menu had a great selection of fairly priced beers, wines and liqueur coffees. Drinks arrived promptly at our table and the food all arrived within minutes of each other so we could all eat together. The food was fantastic, we had the salt and pepper squid, duck confit, bruschetta and caesar salad. At the conclusion of the meal we received the bill and some lovely chocolates. An enjoyable night all round. Would definitely dine here again. Suited to families, couples and larger groups.

Very disappointed with the evening meal . Given choice fish or lamb cutlets, choice lamb cutlets. We got forequarter lamb chop tough and full of bone, the apple crumble was also disappointing not the traditional pudding .

food ok. dreadful service

we arrived at 6:50pm to a fairly full restaurant, but that was fine as we had reservations. after a short delay we placed our order herb/garlic bread and our mains were salmon and mine was calamari. we asked if we were to order desert at the same time and was told to order them later. the entree took a long time then our mains also took a long time. this would have been overlooked as the food was great. but the service after was lacking as we were not offered any further drinks. after over half an hour we asked for the second time for the desert menu. these arrived and she promptly left. After 10-15 minutes we went to the counter to be told that the kitchen would take to long to prepare them. the manager was not at all helpful. we will never return and would NOT recommend this place for anyone. we would have thought in tough times they would be eager to please. there were still others eating mains. so would assume they also would not get desert. this was at 8:20pm. they advertise close at 10pm

Good feed at the hotel!

Had dinner at the hotel restaurant on Friday night. The service was good and the meals were as ordered. My steak was cooked just right, and it's nice to get some veggies and not chips. The churros I had for dessert, finished the meal well. Very happy with 6 sticks of goodness ,not the normal 3. The price was on par with most restaurants.

What a gem!!

Visited whilst staying at the Edge ‘resort’. Lots of GF options which was great with my coeliac partner. We started with the scallops which were fantastic. Perfectly cooked and presented. My partner had the eye fillet - perfectly cooked. I had the lamb - again perfectly cooked with crisp vegetables and a sauce that complemented the meat brilliantly. I’d thoroughly recommend this place.
