Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

16 of us went for a Birthday Lunch. Was too many people and too little staff. Arrived at 12 didn’t get food until after 1. Was a bit “Hangry “by then. If you are Celiac you will find it hard to get a dish. My friend spent ages talking to the waitperson who was getting a bit grumpy!!! they finally did get her just plain chicken and Veges but a bit boring. I have been in a small group and no problem so will stick to small groups in future.

Won’t be back Waiting 90 minutes for our meal and when it came one of our party had to send it back as it was undercooked and tasted off. Seafood dish too so lucky she didn’t get sick. They compensated with free dessert and coffee that was average too. Expensive drinks and food and disappointing to be honest

If you stick to the Italian dishes you'll be pleased. Their are two dishes I will never order in a restaurant again: Osso bucco and anything goat. This restaurant is why. I speared my palate with a bone on the Osso bucco three years ago; tonight I got more little shards of bone than meat in my slow cooked goat ragu stew, it was unpleasant to eat but tasted great. Why use ribs cut at ninety degrees and what looked like an ankle with no meat? Yuch. Give me the whole rib and I'll deal with it on my plate. Out of Chardonnay. So we settle for rose. Then over charged by thirty dollars with no explanation why, the manager can't figure out why the till makes the error. How much have they raked in from this? I want to be loyal as the pasta dishes are wonderful and the owners appear sincere. I want to love it. But I just can't. Got to go to the one of the pubs or Embers or Japanese or the Tap House. Won't be back... but maybe for the pasta... Just don't charge me 15% extra for no reason.

The service was slow. The waiter was rude and the food was bland and tasteless My bruschetta consisted of a piece of bread with chopped tomatoes. It was not toasted, had no garlic, onions or balsamic vinegar and the garlic prawns were tasteless. Do not waste your money eating at this establishment. They are not interested in customer feedback to improve their reputation

We decided to have our 11th Anniversary Dinner at the Vault and was not disappointed! Great menu and also specials, good wine list too. We were served Arancini Balls as a shared entrée and these were so delicious, quite large and very filling. I could have just had a plate of those for dinner and been happy! We both chose to have the Seafood Marinara (I think it was called) and this was perhaps the best I've ever had. The seafood was plentiful, the pasta cooked perfectly and very tasty and flavoursome. Can thoroughly recommend! For dessert we shared a slice of Pecan Pie that was decorated with Happy Anniversary. All in all, an excellent meal. Our waitresses Rachael and Debbie were very attentive and made sure everything was to our satisfaction. Only one negative - the seats are a bit hard to sit on for a long time. Need more padding to make more comfortable. Apart from that, can't fault a lovely evening.

We are regulars here, and we always enjoy our food. The pizza chef needs a pat on the back his pizza and garlic bread are fantastic. $20 pasta pizza night on a Wednesday is a must, the bolognase is very flavourful and the chef is obliging In doing other pasta instead of gnocchi if you ask. The staff are extremely hard working and very helpful. Love the outside back bar and the overall facilities are very good. Certainly bringing people into the area from afar which is great for Kalamunda. Keep up the great work!

Despite not having a booking on a busy Friday night, a table was available for our group of 4. Drinks came quickly - a wonderful selection of local and Italian wines. Both entrees and mains were served promptly, salmon was cooked to perfection and the ravioli was full of flavour. Our waitress was friendly and attentive all night. A beautiful selection of desserts made in-house - the creme brûlée was divine! A wonderful night out, thank you!

This was recommended by a friend and so we were looking forward to a genuine Italian meal. The menu looks more like a pub, steak and salad etc, no scallopine, no flavour in the food. Linguini was spaghetti, no parmesan to flavour it. Best of all, we asked for dessert menu at 9pm and tried to order 15 mins later only to be told kitchen closed at 9pm. Why " otherwise people would still be eating and drinking till late and we would be here all night". I worry about customer service coming last.

We had garlic bread..4 slices of thin bread where was the garlic flavor? 2 Pizza's absolutely no taste and barely anything on it? For 24 dollars each? Home made chips got the stars they where great... Sorry It's a NO from me..we will not come back for more.

We had a brilliant experience with The Vault Restaurant last night. We ordered the mushroom arancini and Siciliana pizza like usual and they never fail to disappoint as each dish was perfect. The service was impeccable and after a small kitchen/waitress mishap where we had to wait a little longer than expected the waitstaff made sure they rectified the issue swiftly and surprisingly comped the meal for us. As locals we will definitely be back for the amazing food and service. Thank you again.

We were meeting friends up in the hills for dinner and they love this restaurant…and we do now too. We shared a plate of four mushroom arancini for a starter and two serves of gnocchi (one burnt butter with sage & one pork ragu), duck confit and mushroom fettuccine with chicken. All the food was amazing! I’m not usually a fan of gnocchi, but this just melted in the mouth. With a bottle of house cab merlot plus one additional glass, the total bill was $189, which we thought was reasonable value given the quality of the food. The restaurant was very busy (it was a Saturday) and everybody seemed to be having a wonderful time (it is a bit noisy).

Two visits in January! Disappointed to say the least. Something has obviously changed. The first time on asking to sit near the window, I was advised fully booked. Total fabrication by a young waiter. Second time, despite booking, no booking on table plan, we were placed in the very corner. The service was inattentive, slow and particularly unfriendly. I felt the person in charge had her favourite table to serve and every one else was a nobody. Note, one waiting on female staff member was polite, attentive and eager to please. Grateful thanks to her. The four pizzas were good despite arriving way after the chips and salad. Very expensive for what we received, despite being local, certainly not in a hurry to return any time soon.

First time trying this restaurant and it was just amazing! We were seated on the balcony, (gorgeous at sunset) Garlic bread to start with, fresh and tasty. The seafood platter was just divine! The only disappointment was the amount of deep-fried squid! It took up nearly half of the platter which was ok but as the food was cooling down the batter came off the squid, it became chewy and got pushed to one side, but the rest of the platter was incredibly tasty! We asked about the deserts and the wait person was fantastic, giving us all the options and helping us to decide what we would like. The service, atmosphere, quality of food, ambience was all excellent, we loved our dining experience here and will definitely be back.

The Vault checks every box you could want for an event space. Lift access, room closed off from the rooftop for privacy, toilets and bar on the same level, two balcony areas, space to comfortably have your guests sit and chat while also having a dance floor with a DJ or save your money and plug in Spotify which plays from the build in speakers. Omar was super accommodating for each request my partner and I had for our engagement party and was quick to respond to any questions we had emailed through. He also never changed the price when we said this event was an engagement party (unlike other venues). All staff were amazing from the restaurant all the way to the event staff we had for the night. Everyone is super helpful and willing to make sure you’re conformable and ready to assist. When we forgot an event sign for the night Omar was able to created a sign and added a love heart boarder (the little details without being asking is super appreciated) that was placed at the stairs to help direct our guests. It was easy access to set up what we needed but again the event space is stunning and didn’t need any dressing up. I can’t recommend this place enough! Took all the stress out of organising a function. Myself and our guests had such an amazing time that we are all recommending this venue to everyone we know.

Visited for dinner and receive very bland and overpriced food, although staff were friendly. Upon paying they advised us that the eftpos machine was not working, which is fine. Although the lady serving us was quick to blame other staff for not advising us of broken eftpos, which I thought was distasteful as it was her who greeted us in. Wouldn’t return unless they make food worth the money.
