We have eaten here on all our visits to Exmouth although i assumed the name change might have meant change in owners. Being school holidays, i booked well ahead and we went early which i think was a good move as LOTS more people came...in after us so not sure if we would have had a big wait.... We had excellent service from 2 different waitresses one of whom wasn't super well versed in some menu options but funny and great with our daughter who we ordered for ASAP while we ordered drinks and had more time to choose... We ordered garlic bread, 2 pasta dishes, a pizza and salad and the reef and beef - there was a replacement for the t-bone but neither the waitress nor my FIL knew what "flap steak" was but he said it was very tasty anyway! 😋 There was a small mix up when a pasta ordered with "no cheese" came out with parmesan but the waitress took it back and it was replaced quickly. The pasta dishes were very large but both said they were tasty and the pizza was delicious. The reef and beef garlic sauce on the prawns was bright yellow but apparently tasted good. I also had a bottle of sangiovese - not cheap but it was tasty and you can take what you don't drink home anyway so cheaper than buying a few glasses. They were also doing lots of takeaways so probably better to go early or there might be a longer wait but we had good food and service so would go back next visit!More

Very happy with our meal at The BBQFather, service was good and meal came out quickly. Meals weren’t fantastic but they were very good for the amount of people they were serving all at once, definitely worth a visit.

We booked our table for a family of 3 a few weeks prior to our September 2021 holiday. We have dined at this restaurant quite a few times before over the years and the food & service was always excellent! We were so looking forward...to eating there again. We arrived at the restaurant at 6.30pm and waited for 30 minutes before being asked if we would like a drink! Then we waited for another half an hour before ordering our food and then a further 30 minutes until our food arrived. The restaurant was extremely busy in fact it was quite chaotic and was obviously understaffed. There were also other customers sat near to us who had waiting for a while and asking to be served. It’s so disappointing that the restaurant’s service has gone so downhill, it’s no fault to the waitresses who were trying their best but were absolutely rushed off their feet. On the way out I asked to speak to the manager, just to give her some friendly feedback, I explained that the food was very nice but unfortunately the service wasn’t and the girls were rushed off their feet and the service wasn’t up to scratch. I suggested maybe stopping doing takeaway! If unable to cope with such a busy restaurant…she agreed they are understaffed and can’t find any staff this is such a shame that what was once a brilliant restaurant has gone to what felt more like a takeaway! I hope this will improve in the future!More

We arrived at 730 as per booked reservation and we’re showed to the table after we stood around for 10 mins at the desk . We sat at the table untill 815 without even being acknowledged . Finally flagged someone down and a young European...girl came to serve us at which point I expressed my dissatisfaction that we hadn’t even been acknowledged even though they were clearing tables and no one else was coming in and I was told very rudely that did we want her to serve us or not as we were welcome to leave as they were very busy and there was a sign on the front entrance saying there was a delay and go and take a look despite the fact we came in the back entrance off the camp site . Had she said I’m sorry sir I would have been happy but she was so rude . The food was ok but service was terrible , we bought a bottle of wine and it was plonked on the table (in Exmouth night time temp 20 deg ) and we asked for a wine bucket and it never turned up !! Will not go there again due to such bad service . Asked for the manager and she came out and apologised about the rude member of staff but felt it was all false . Paid the bill in full and left , won’t go there again !!More

After being seated and getting the menus we waited a long time to order and it was an hour before we finally got our drinks!!! Others who arrived after us we served with food before we had even got our drinks!! Understand totally that it...was a busy Saturday night but to be continually ignored was unacceptable. It appears your service experience all depends upon which waiter seats you. Thank goodness for the lovely French girl who rescued us. Food was very ordinary too - Carbonara was more like pasta in soup. Other pasta dish was good though. Anyhow, looking at the good reviews maybe we just had a bad experience? Shame…..More

We had a fantastic experience here, greeted as we walked in and promptly waited on with excellent table service. Staff were really bubbly and efficient in their job, professional but we were also able to have a joke with our waitress in high spirits, I...absolutely love when service is like that. Happy staff create a good atmosphere. I found the pricing super reasonable for the meals and they were delicious! Ribs fell off the bone and made your mouth water and carbonara was AMAZING! Only thing I could fault was the coleslaw, but the main part of the meals definitely made up for it!More

Great brisket and fantastic food, would have been a 5 star review if our chips weren’t swimming in juice from the meat and the waitress at the start didn’t roll her eyes at a request for a salad instead of coleslaw. All we needed was...some lettuce and tomato and nothing else. What came out was completely differentMore

We were having quite a deal of trouble finding anywhere to eat in Exmouth. We went here with friends. Service was fine but the food was not so great. Undercooked gnocchi!

Disappointed, good location, hit and miss, Pastas were so salty, barely edible. The meat dishes were well received, thank goodness . Good staff and service just so disappointed with our food, we had heard rave reviews . Hopefully next time!
