We visited 'Adrift' twice during our stay in Exmouth. On both occasions to food was very good indeed. On the first visit I ordered the fish and chips; locally caught fish, and my partner enjoyed the pasta.
On the second visit, I ordered a simple vegetarian burger with halloumi and mushrooms. It was delightful.
This is a BYOG facility and they charge a very reasonable $2.00 per person to serve your own wine.
Great restaurant, very casual, and friendly. Recommended.

What an unexpected little gem of a place- excellent food, no outstanding food! Absolutely delicious, lots of variety and everything smelled and looked yummy! Good atmosphere and very lovely friendly staff. Although we had to wait as the kitchen was super busy, they got our entree out quickly and we were very happy to just relax and soak up the relaxed vibe. Definitely definitely worth a stop!

Doesn’t look like much from the outside but we’d heard good things so dropped in for a quick bite. Actually quite a relaxing dining experience. A simple layout inside but very good range of meals, light food and meals, plus reasonably well priced which was fantastic for a family meal up here.
All the meals were quick and fresh, not greasy and some healthy options available. Service was really good, so if you’re looking for a good meal at reasonable prices, particularly for lunch then we would highly recommend this spot.

Menu at venue differed from online which is fine. Menu at the venue for lunch had bacon and eggs. Didn't mention how the eggs were cooked on the menu, requested scrambled.
The waitperson said that the chef doesn't make alterations to menu when it's busy. It was 11.31am on a Tuesday before Easter and there were 2 other people seated in the restaurant.
It's not an alteration to the menu when the menu doesn't specify how they would be cooked. Anyway, chef felt that he/she prefers fried, scrambled too hard so went with that.
We also ordered burger and wrap, they were tasty but not rocket science.
Saw the menu for dinner and it looked amazing but unfortunately my eggsperience with lunch put me off going back there.
Spent $$$$ at Frothy's, Mantaray's, Whalers and Exhale instead.

We had a night in Exmouth on our way to Ningaloo reef so needed a meal as we didn't want to unpack the cars and cook.
We googled 'best restaurant in Exmouth ' and Adrift came up first on the list.
Google wasn't wrong.
The meals were equal to if not exceeding city cafe quality in what seemed to be a light industrial area of Exmouth.
Fabulous food, great service and great ambience. Highly recommend this place if you're in Exmouth.

Came in for dinner and met the most lovely bar staff. Had a lovely chat with the Belgian girl (sorry, forgot her name!) about travel and languages. Passion fruit cheesecake was divine! Took bloody ages to order though. Staff kept passing but apparently only the blond girl could take food orders, and we had to repeatedly ask if she could come take our order. Don’t know if that’s too many people coming in at once or if we just got forgotten! But weird no one else could at least get out entrees

We had dinner at Adrift tonight.
This was our second meal at Adrift in a week.
We have been holidaying in Exmouth and went to several restaurants. We all found Adrift to be the best food in town.
I had the pork belly this evening, the carmelized dressing was amazing. My wife had the Rogan Josh curry and raved about it whilst her sister had the seafood linguine and said it was very good.
The staff were great, shifting us when we were cold at the first table and then giving a jacket for one of us who forgot her's.
Overall a great evening. Thanks.

After seeing a 4.4 review we decided to give it a go. For a Friday night it wasn’t that busy The experience was below average. From not bringing our child’s meal with our entrees ( as we specifically requested ) to having the Mexican chicken salad that would not resemble anything from that country ( 85% + green salad with a very small smattering of black beans ). Which is surprising considering the whole Cafe seemed to be run by South American backpackers. Think before you commit

The evening we dined here there was bad weather in Exmouth, we tried a few places and couldn’t get it as we were a party of 8. This was our last resort and so glad we could get in. The guy serving us, I didn’t really rate him at all. Seemed grumpy at our large dining party and no personality, seemed annoyed when we asked for 2 ice buckets and as I was drinking champagne asked for a champagne flute instead of a wine glass. The food is absolutely superb. The kids inhaled their fish and picked at their chips. The 6 adult meals were amazing and good value for money. Didn’t have to wait long at all during entree and main. Haloumi fries were delish. It’s byo as well.

Such a little gem of a place. Could not fault the food and the service. I had the seafood pasta the first time - yum. We went a second time, I had the pesto/garlic prawns - delicious. Hubby had the reef and beef which he thoroughly enjoyed, the steak tender and the prawns luscious. A relaxing and enjoyable dining experience. BYO but also licensed.

My friends and I booked into Adrift for dinner on a Thursday night after hearing good reports and have to say we were not disappointed. From everything to service, ambience, food, just couldn't fault it. I had the fish of the day, my friends had Chicken Tika Marsala and SurfnTurf. All mouthwatering and delicious. Definitely recommend and will return.

Came for dinner with group of 8 (4 a, 4 k). Little dubious as we had driven past earlier and Cafe looks somewhat unkempt from the front when closed up.
When we arrived, looked very different - staff were super friendly and efficient. Courtyard looks lovely with lighting and plants.
Good menu and drinks list. We had entrees of calamari and jalapeno poppers & croquettes, then for mains a seafood pasta, the house pasta, nasi goreng and a steak. All the meals were really good. The kids meals were also good, which seems easy to do but so often the kids end up with pretty average food so it was good to see generous serves and decent chicken tenders etc. Smaller venue so recommend booking ahead, even for low season.

The menu looks great and the prices are too. We had a bahn mi with coriander (asked for no coriander). I had an espresso milkshake and asked for almond milk, after trying it I double checked with the (very friendly) girl who served us to confirm it was almond (it was) then after finishing it checked with the barista who told me it still has dairy ice cream in it. Accidents happen, but I’m a barista myself and it’s pretty standard to double check if someone is okay with dairy after ordering alternative milk. Anyways, we appreciated the friendly service from the girl on the till even if she got our order wrong, the barista however felt unwelcoming.

This place was unfortunately a bad experience for us. We had a booking for 1800 and were the first seated but were waiting for more than one hour for our mains and kids meal which should have come with the starters (which they had offered). All other tables had finished eating by the time we finally got our food and even exactly the same dishes and kids meal as our ordered food went by to other tables multiple times. The service didn’t think admitting that sth went terribly wrong here is the right approach and kept saying all is fine and our food is under way. The food itself was ok but not up to our high expectations given the place is no 1 in Exmouth. We can’t understand this rating as all other places were much better we went to, also ignoring the service lapse we had. The steak was ok but average. The calamari were good but felt more a starter portion than main as they only came in a little cabbage. We clearly cannot recommend this restaurant and would rather advise to try the other places with good ratings.
