I'm going to try this again. I've been going to Colourpatch for YEARS and I can't recommend their whiting enough. It is magnificent and sustainable. But was horrified over Christmas 2016 to find that they were selling hammerhead shark as one option for fish and chips - and cheap as well (which just encourages people to eat it). Hammerhead sharks... More

Didn't think it was that good. someone told us it was the best one in Augusta but I didn't think so. The chips and fish were average but I think crispy would have been nice and a bit of salt

Enjoyed a fish and chip lunch here with my family. The gummy was nice but otherwise was just average and the chips were overcooked. Convenient location on the river and walking distance to Turner Caravan Park.

A bit disappointed with the fish & chips we had for lunch. I would visit again to order something else. The coffee was nice and it was a lovely setting along the river watching the activity on the water and the people walking by.

Probably close to the worst fish and chips ever. Chips over cooked whiting 4 very small pieces about 2 ml thick. $21.90 dollars are you Kidding me.

I have posted this review before my food has arrived. The elderly lady serving us is rude, unhelpful and everything is done with a sigh. Hopefully the food is better than the service.

We were glad to have gone with whiting instead of shark. Massive serving was more than sufficient for two hungry hikers.

I turned up mid afternoon and the ice-cream freezer was empty and the only thing they were serving were soft drinks. No coffee, no food other than a small basket of chocolate bars.

We have just had a lunch experience at this Cafe. Very poor service, got our food order wrong, untrained staff. Over cooked sub standard food which was over priced. We tried to give some constructive feedback but response was a shrug of shoulders and lack of interest. Wont be returning.

Very expensive, the quality of the coffee is inconsistent, depending on who makes it. Limited cakes etc to choose from, but what they have is very good and made there, so not the same cakes as in other cafe's. Meals are nice, what you are paying for though is the view. Dolphins can often be seen swimming past, so keep... More

Our BYO Cafe situated on the banks of the beautiful Blackwood River serves full breakfast and lunches. Home of the iconic Augusta Whiting & chips, the Fish and chips kitchen offers a variety of fish exclusively caught by Augusta's local fishermen. Seafood side orders are also available. Opposite the cafe, one may also enjoy eating our yummy take away fish & chips sitting on the lawn covered banks of the river watching the dolphins at play
