They opened especially for us on a Monday night in the quiet season for them. The wine list was impressive as you would expect for this region. A set menu for the table meant that some of the party wouldn't have chosen the selections, but the cooking was good. Scallop carpaccio starter was excellent. The main of suckling pig presentation... As our first trip some 3 years ago. Typically French food with impeccable service. The menu €30 for 3 courses was good value. A slight preponderance of 'foam', once masquerading as onion soup and twice as part of a fish dish - the only 2 actual downers were the luke- warm plates for the fish and a rather chewy madelaine.... It was a Wednesday evening and the village not very busy, the fog had not lifted all day and now in the dark the street seems empty and a bit mystic. Just right to go and have dinner. We did find the place in a side street and we were at 19.15h the only guests. Nevertheless the welcome was genuine... More

We visited this restaurant for Sunday lunch on our journey home from Bordeaux. Whilst St Emillion was busy this was an oasis of calm. The service particularly from Nikhola was excellent as was the food and wine and overall was very good value for money

We booked for the Saturday night of our visit not knowing that it was their "heritage w/e". No one told us that the only menu that evening was a 56 euro one! As the town was very full we were reluctant to give up our table and go elsewhere. The food was over elaborate and disappointingly bland

The restaurant had a tough act to follow after lunch up the road, but it was still disappointing. The duck was overcooked, the service very lazy and we were located in a car park. It was also one of the more expensive meals we had in a week in the region.

4 of us had an overall excellent meal. Only disappointing element was the cote de bouef which had a strange over barbecued taste. Hard to describe but I wasn't keen. The expensive bill was no surprise - we had pushed the boat out. However, it did not feel like value for money.

Located in a quaint narrow street, the terrasse was fine, and most of the staff friendly. However, the dishes served were in our opinion just ok. Neither the entrees nor plats stood out in presentation or taste. (We both had fish). The cheese offering was the most bizarre way to present cheese: Especially the 3 small squares of Osso Irati...
