Went there with my wife to get dinner and was not disappointed. The food was good, the portions were large. The dinners we had could have feed two more people. The food came out quickly and hot. The service could have been a bit better but I will go back

Great food and cool laid back atmosphere. Great friendly and cool service. One can order a combination of the different BBQ options that are on the menu. We will go there again.

My husband and I stopped here for dinner our first night in town and were very happy we did. This place knows how to do barbecue. Our dinner was not only flavorful but abundant. So much so that we took a container of leftovers back to our hotel room and had them the next day for lunch! The loaded tater... More

My wife and i stopped for dinner after pleasant 50-minute lake cruise. After a 10-minute wait for a table, our engaging waitress had our drinks to us in no time and the meal was delivered within 10 minutes as well. I have a 1/4# ribs and bbq chicken (I requested the leg and thigh portion) with mac salad, which was... More

Our party of 8 stopped in on a Saturday for lunch while we were hitting up a few wineries. The place is amazing!!! Atmosphere, service and food were top notch. We ended up going with several small plates/appetizers as everything looked so good. We wanted to sample it all.....LOL. The chicken ranch tater tots are outstanding and the smoked wings... More

Pulled Pork and Tater Tots with the house sauce...was outstanding. Server was fun and atmosphere was good. If you are in the area (we visited the state park), some barbecue should be on your agenda!!!

had the Beef on Weck sandwich, not bad at all. Everything was good, from the side dish of kielbasa to the cole slaw. Service was great and attentive.

we stopped for lunch on Saturday and everything from start to finish was great. The warm greeting, prompt & friendly service, cold drinks and very good food were all worth a return visit. I would recommend the layer dip, and the brisket sandwich. A few tweeks to the order may make the meal over the top: chopped jalapenos spread throughout... More

Nickel's Pit BBQ will be closing for the season on Saturday, November 5, 2016! Visit our website and social media to learn more about our off-season BBQ weekends starting in late November/early December. We partner with a small, local farm and our menu is updated to reflect availability. Our ribs, chicken, brisket and other meats are so popular that they may sell out during business hours, or not be featured. All of our meats are smoked fresh and smoking is very long, intricate process that cannot be rushed. Give us a call to see what we are offering! We do classic BBQ with an Upstate NY spin and want to give you the best dining experience. We appreciate your understanding, flexibility, and appetites!
