Had to wait 45 mins for a table and they were out of ribs (which I wanted) but the wait was worth it because the food was amazing. I'm going back earlier this time so I can get the ribs

Happened to be in Corning taking in the glass making demonstration. We were looking for somewhere to eat dinner and took a chance that Nickels was open . Called their number and they were open!! We drove the 20 minutes to the Glen and had a great dinner. Food and servers are fabulous. Great place to try local drinks and... More

Big bar to sit at and eat. Half outside and inside. A beautiful summer day to sit outside. Drink pint of local beer. And share a platter with a friend. The food is smoked on premise. If they run out it's because it's so good and that fresh. My favorite is the brisket. I try all the sauces on the... More

stumbled upon this place on a romantic weekend getaway. Wanted a couple of beers (a break from all of the wine!). Sat at the bar and had some awesome of their own brewed beer. The bar b Q was by far the best we've had in the Northeast! Bartender (Kyle) was a huge help in suggesting each of our beers... More

Food was amazing!! Service wasn't spectacular, but with it being a holiday weekend and constantly busy, we tried our best to have some patience. They have their own sauces bottled on the table (similar to Dickey's or Famous Daves BBQ). The brisket was delicious and the inside of the restaurant is very cool and modern. Did I mention they brew... More

Everything dish in the restaurant was enormous. Service was friendly and very speedy. My husband and I considered splitting the 30 wing platter but decided to just order 20 and some tater tots. At the end of our meal, we took 10 of the wings and three quarters of the tots in a doggy bag. Everything was delicious.

We had been told by some locals that this was a very good bbq place. Maybe our expectations were too high but it was not. Meats were dry and we were not a fan of their homemade sauce.

Fun place to eat, great BBQ, nice beer selection, full bar, converted firehouse with roll up garage doors out to a patio. Nice dinner spot after a day of touring wineries.

Description
Nickel's Pit BBQ will be closing for the season on Saturday, November 5, 2016! Visit our website and social media to learn more about our off-season BBQ weekends starting in late November/early December. We partner with a small, local farm and our menu is updated to reflect availability. Our ribs, chicken, brisket and other meats are so popular that they may sell out during business hours, or not be featured. All of our meats are smoked fresh and smoking is very long, intricate process that cannot be rushed. Give us a call to see what we are offering! We do classic BBQ with an Upstate NY spin and want to give you the best dining experience. We appreciate your understanding, flexibility, and appetites!
