We Went there to eat lunch as 4 ppl. We ordered the avocado chili burger, the chicken sandwiches, the chicken masama burger and the fried chicken with chips.
For Lunch both the food and athmosphere was quite nice, we enjoyed it and the drinks were also cool and refreshing.
The prices were also very fair, aswell as especially the exchange rates as we paid with a 50$ and got a fair exchange rate on it. For what we expected this was just it

This place is now called Buni Bistro, that offers a wide array of delicious cold juices & smoothies to quench the thirst after the walking tour of the Stone Town in the sweltering heat. Watermelon Honey juice, Mrembo juice & Furaha smoothie was very delicious. Kitchen was a little slow but the service & the food quality offsets that. Burger & pasta were tasty too.

I had one of the best seafood platter I ever tried.
The service was very nice as well, but for me the difference was about the freshness of the plate and its quality.
Moreover the waiter and chef was very attentive with us.
Prices very reasonable for the local standards.

This restaurant is very close to beach front and looks nice with outdoor seating and indoor seating. I ordered the vegetable curry, rice, and chipati with an apple banana orange smoothie. The woman brought me the wrong smoothie twice and it took a long time (we were the only people in the restaurant). My friend ordered the chicken curry. The chicken was old and the toughest we had ever had. Both of our chipatis were stale and not very tasty. The curry sauce and rice were average. I asked for a to go box at the end and the woman asked me why I had not finished my food! Also my other friend ordered a grilled cheese but the cheese was not melted and it had mayonnaise on it 😑 I would not recommend this place to anyone. There are better and more affordable places to eat in Stone Town.

We ate dinner at the Buni Cafe while visiting Stone Town. The food was quite good. Unfortunately when we asked the waitress if purified water was used in the smoothie, she claimed it was. When our guide acted surprised, her response made us think otherwise. The cook/ waiter overcharged us by 40%!! Although we’d recommend the food, we’d say beware of the restaurant.

For a cafe the burgers were extremely bad. The beef patty was uncooked the bun was stale and was just coated with Mayo inside.
The French fries were very poorly cooked - some uncooked some just tasted weird. The smoothie was okay but the food wasn’t that great.

Had a delicious fresh juice with lunch there yesterday so went back at 0830 this morning to have another juice after breakfast at my hotel.
Sign said they opened at 0730.
Staff were in the cafe with doors open, but I was told that they weren’t open and couldn’t serve me and to come back later. I pointed out the sign, and was again told that they weren’t open.
For an economy that relies on tourism, it’s very strange to think that they wouldn’t take every opportunity for a sale.

We ordered the vegetable curry and calamari. The kitchen was slow but worth the wait. Food was delicious and portions are substantial - for a South African traveler the value was great.

I went twice. It's just convenient and a good breeze flows through the place. Had a burger one time and a grilled cheese a second time. Wifi was working the first time and on and off the second time.

We walked pass this place and it looked nice. We ordered the calamari and juice. No alcohol here.
The juice was really nice.
Then the food came. We ordered the grilled calamari and the breaded calamari. We only got the breaded calamari. And unfortunately they totally over cooked it to the extent that it was un eatable. It was like eating elastic bands.
So disappointed
The staff is really nice and friendly
