I'd heard of the mission for some time and finally had the chance to try it and I was let down. The waitstaff was friendly, but slow. The special of the day was a Margarita, but the ice must have been extra... it was warm was only an ice cube. I held out hope the food would more than make... More

Situated in an old church with historic roots, The Mission serves excellent, and filling, Mexican and Pan American food. It is one of my favorite restaurants in a city I visit regularly.

We were looking for a Mexican restaurant not too far off I-90 and we found this place. We both enjoyed our meals: grilled fish with coconut rice for hubby and veggie tacos for me. We wouldn't call either dish authentic Mexican. The fish dish was probably more Thai than Mexican and the tacos were missing the depth of flavour we... More

My husband and I decided to stop for dinner in Syracuse during a long drive north. Situated not too far from the interstate and free parking downtown (after 6PM) made it easy. Considering the description provided by TripAdvisor ($$ -$$$), I would say you can have a really good meal - perfect size servings for cheaper than this. Each table... More

We were introduced to The Mission several years ago by Southwest cuisine fans & have loved coming here ever since. The food is top rate, with daily specials that fit the season, and the atmosphere makes one feel s/he is in New Mexico. Anytime we go to Syracuse, we try to include lunch or dinner at The Mission.

Love the decor of The Mission. We got the last table.... Shortly after it opened on a Sunday. I then heard people would have a 90 minute wait. Our waitress was fantastic. She had a table of 9, other tables, and our's...... She was so attentive. The chips and salsa are so good. We had the short rib tacos, quesadilla,... More

My wife and stopped by the mission for a evening meal. You have to remember that this restaurant is only open 5pm - 10pm on Saturday evening. You cannot make reservations unless you have 7 people in your party. Otherwise it's first come first serve. The restaurant is a old church and has a very Mexican them of decorations. My... More

Best to park in parking garage near by,Parking on the streets can be tough. But the experience was well worth everything. We were explained items on the menu and the menu has a partially glossary on the back which really helps. We had a great lunch, tried a few things for the first time, not disappointed at all,Quality food at a very fair price.

Been here many times for dinner, recently tried their Sunday brunch and it was everything we have loved about the Mission on past visits. Tried the Huevos Rancheros and an omelette. Both were outstanding, omelette was loaded with fillings and the huevos had great flavor. Bloody Marys were among the best we've ever had. Service can be spotty but the... More

This was our second try eating at the Mission before we went to a play at Crouse Hinds Theater. The last time we arrived too late a little before 6 and there was a 45 minute wait, and that wouldn't work. They do not take reservations for parties under 7 people, and it is a very small restaurant. This time... More
