I visited Dominicks a few days ago. We had the nicest waiter with a long Italian name. The red sauce is out of this world! He freely brought me extra sauce when I asked for it. I ordered a half portion and I had enough left over for 2 small meals at home.

Dominick's is a Syracuse landmark. It probably got that recognition many years ago. The food was OK. nothing special. The restaurant is old, rundown and worn out. Prices are economical. I think it's time they pass the "landmark" designation to another restaurant.

One Friday night another couple joined us for a get together. No reservation are taken, but we must have gotten there before a rush. The salads arrived in a large dish so it was easy to move ingredients around. It was fresh greens accompanied with tomatoes, onions and one hot pepper. Girls ordered fish, it was delicious, flaky and hot.... More

A group of four of us ate here last Sunday around 4:45 pm. The waitress seemed distracted and unorganized . I was interested in ordering fettucini carbonara . They did not have carbonara. (I am thinking a good Italian restaurant ought to know how to whip up a cream sauce). So, I got the Alfredo sauce and added parmesan from... More

This place has been around for years. I think a lot of the staff is family. The waiters/waitresses are always hopping. It is normal to have a wait on the weekends. So, reservations are recommended. I miss the days when I worked nights and could slide in and out for lunch without a wait! The Saturday night Prime Rib is... More

I have been coming to this restaurant for over 40 years. You have to know what to order ... stay away from eggplant parm, steaks and seafood. Eggplant parm is not even close to what you would get in Italy, large fat slices of eggplant, dry steaks and overcooked seafood.

We always go to dinner here at least once when we stay in Syracuse. Dominick's never disappoints!! I had the chicken cacciatore over linguine and it was delish!! They start you out with their fresh baked bread and salad. My husband had the ziti, and my son had chicken tenders and fries. We also had garlic bread with marinara sauce... More

We haven't been there is awhile and not much has changed. The menu is the same the decor hasn't changed the waitress that really don't know what they are doing hasn't changed. My wife got the Italian platter and I ordered the king cut prime rib. Her Italian platter had ups and downs. The biggest loser was the sausage. It... More

We went to Dominick's for lunch today to celebrate a family birthday of an 88 year old. Horrible experience indeed. We (party of six) were seated in the back dining room and given menus. Twenty five minutes passed and still no server came to our table. Several of them looked at us when passing by. Finally I went up front... More

I was with 9 members of my family and we were supposed to go to another place down the road. It was closed. I am so glad we ended up here at Dominicks! We were seated promptly, and the waitress was very adept at getting the orders right. The salad, soup and bread was brought out very quickly. The soup... More
