My wife, daughter and I went to Alure for Thanksgiving dinner this year. This restaurant and staff are really talented in the art of satisfying their guests. When we arrived, we were seated immediately, at a table overlooking the sea. First off let me say, that Thanksgiving is a busy, busy time for good restaurants, with wait staff normally under extra... More

We went there this evening without a reservation. We were warmly greeted by Gail and we were promptly seated by the window by Adam. Adam is one of the owners. He was warm and friendly and very nice. Our waitress Christina was also very friendly and knowledgeable and clearly explained the menu. We started with Crab cakes as an appetizer... More

Poor service and unimpressive meals. We went for dinner with two other couples and received below average service and the food was ok at best. The salad I ordered came without the blue cheese and my mashed potatoes were not warm at all. Disappointed overall.

We visit our friends on the east end frequently. Often, we have dinner at their favorite restaurant, A Lure. Not only is the food always great, but the service is friendly and professional. The manager, Adam, came to our table twice, to say hello and again to see how we were enjoying our meals. Four of us had Halibut which... More

Went to A lure on the recommendation of our inn keepers, who made the reservation for us. We were early so sat at the bar for a drink which was fine. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Shown to our window table, but as it was a dull evening we didn't have the benefit of wonderful sunset views. The... More

The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor dining. I highly advise outdoors if the weather is right. The views are fantastic. The food was out of this world. New York clam chowder, mussels and crab cakes are great. I couldn't find any filler in my crab cakes and the mussels were so delicate they melted in my mouth. Four adults... More

Don't think I have ever given a "poor" review. That being said, maybe this was a bad night. I went with another couple Saturday night of Labor Day weekend. Made the reservation a week in advance. Got there at 6PM for my 6PM reservation. Restaurant was crowded, although not as crowded as I thought it would be. Restaurant was nice... More

A Lure is located near a couple of boatyards and in full view of Peconic Bay. It's possible to eat outside or in, my preference, usually being outside. However, the wind was close to howling and the woman who answered our reservation call patiently explained that, offering a window table as a good substitute. She was right and we were... More

Upon the recommendation of one of the wineries we visited my friend and I had a recent dinner at A Lure. It was a Friday night and crowded so we sat at the bar for our meal. The two bar staff were both very pleasant and friendly. I had fish and chips which were fine. They had no regular tartar... More

Description
A Lure, located at the landmark Port of Egypt Marina, is the North Fork's newest waterfront seafood restaurant and the newest joint venture by celebrated chef Tom Schaudel and restaurateur Adam Lovett. The duo, known for aMano in Mattituck, Passionfish in Westhampton Beach and Jedediah Hawkins in Jamesport, is joined by chef de cuisine and partner Jeff Uguil who leads in the kitchen. The idea behind A Lure is to create a seafood chowder house, serving impeccably fresh fish and seafood, in a relatively casual and convivial setting for locals, boaters, day-trippers and vacationers on the idyllic North Fork of Long Island wine country.
