My mom and teenaged brother were in the area visiting and we decided to try this restaurant based on other reviews we had read. My brother is very picky and was able to find something to eat. We got the trio dip appetizer and were pleased with that - we got it with the homemade flour chips which were great.... More

Hi, well my wife Jan and I were out again visiting one of the oldest entertainment venues in Schenectady, The VanDyke Lounge, over the years this place has entertained us with some of the best musicians in the world,(Chris Bodie) and now the Leven Brothers. These two guys have played with some of the best (Paul Simon). As expected with... More

Excellent local beer, paired with very good pub food, some healthier options in the mix. Appetizer and snack options very good, even pizza a good choice, but they're strong suit is sandwiches and burgers. Steak salad was very good but needed more vegetables - probably can add onions and peppers.

This restaurant is only about an hour away, a beautiful restored building. We went with friends - it was a Friday night. They had a special menu that was all about $25.00 for a three course meal. It had good choices. Two of us started with the French Onion soup - delicious. One Caprese Salad, very good. One stuffed mushroom... More

This is a restaurant with a pretty much standard pub menu. Food was good service better and the atmosphere better yet. In an old (18th century) house with lots of old looking wood.

We had a last minute large party reservation and the staff was great. The wait staff was very helpful and anticipated our needs. Great food and a warm environment.

The Van Dyke is an excellent gathering place for drinks and dinner. They brew Mad Jack beer and have an extensive bar. The menu has a small variety of tasty dishes with good-sized portions. The servers are friendly and attentive. There is plenty of room for sport viewing, and there is a great variety of live music in the lounge.

Stopped in for a relaxing bite and drink with my bride. Great service, food and brew as usual. The beer is brewed on the premises and there are always a dozen to choose from. The menu has appetizers to pub grub to pizza to full course entries...You can't go wrong

I was in town for a 2 day conference and stopped in for dinner and drinks. We had about twenty of us and were seated in a back room type area. Through the typical chaos of a large group our waiter Todd was a gem. Our food came hot, tasty, and on time. The menu is more than adequate from... More
