There is not much I can find wrong with Taco Johns. I have been there with large groups of friends and on a date and have never been disappointed. You should always start with chips and salsa, especially if you are a fan of garlic. You cannot go wrong with their tacos or burritos. The chicken is a bit on... More

I have only eaten here once but their portions were huge and delicious. I would definitely recommend them.

My husband and I love this place! The food is amazing and so reasonable! Burritos are huge!!!! They are vegetarian/vegan friendly (w/ tofu and unbeef options which I appreciate). Texmex plate and mashed potatoes/plantains aren't to be missed! No other mexican joint has topped it yet for us.

Best Burrito in Town!. I have tried both Sol Burrito and John's Tex Mex in the last week and I have to give the edge to John's. Both places make a truly GIGANTIC burrito, but I found those at John's to just be tastier. I like the atmosphere, colorful paint job and seasonal outdoor seating as well. While the prices... More

I was very impressed with the food and service, plenty of typical Mexican fare including tacos, burritos and the like with a variety of choices including veggie. Good list of drinks and beers to choose from. The place is small but the turnover quick, dine in or call in for take away. Give it a try, I'll be back for... More

Fresh and tasty no frill Mexican food. Vegetarian friendly with tofu and no beef crumbles for your protein choice.

I picked John's for my birthday dinner. Always fresh, always good and quick service. Don't go looking for fancy, but go with a big appetite, because altho affordable the servings are large!

Unexpected gem with amazing food. Although this restaurant is small the food has big flavor. We had combo plates and could barely finish. Their burrito and fresco taco combo with beans and rice was enough for dinner and lunch the next day.

You walk down and into this restaurant, so be careful when entering! Onto the review... I've had real authentic Mexican food—in both Mexico and Texas. This restaurant is definitely more American than either "Tex" or "Mex" but that's not necessarily a bad thing as most of us are more comfortable with this palette. We had chips, salsa, and guac as... Big, full very tasty burritos. The best in the city, for sure. I love the salsa and the chips seasoned in house. A nice place to go and sit down or to pick up dinner and take home. Not to mention the prices! Cheaper than chipotle!
