I think my German is coming through. Seriously, I had a craving for Kraut, THAT DAY, and as I pull into Rochester to kill time until evening I just walk up on the Genesee Brew House. I jump in, because I like beer, and find...More

The Genesee Brew House, right adjacent to the historic Genesee Brewery in rising downtown Rochester, New York, offers a quintessential Rochester experience--Genny beers and decent pub food within range of the mists of the stunning 100-foot High Falls of the Genesee River. How many other...More

Beer is good but the burgers are just meh. The main problem with the burgers is the dry, hard buns. I’ve tried them twice and both times the buns were not edible.

The brewhouse is great fun and its locale in the heart of downtown across from High Falls represents a renaissance of the area that gives us hope. Unfortunately, the burgers are barely edible. If you can't eat the burgers, I wouldn't venture into more exotic...More
